Are you happy with being 3-7 in the last ten playoff games played, Oviedo?
Again, the metric should be winning playoff games, as that is the only way to advance to a super bowl.Last edited by Joel Buchsbaum; 04-22-2021, 08:00 AM.Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.
Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.
*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***Comment

In the past 10 season, 120 coaches made the playoffs and had a shot to make the suer bowl, Tomlin didn't advance to the game despite numerous chances. 20 other times other coaches did, some more than once. Do you want to wait another 10 years? That is the track we are on.

Differential fans have different expectations. We’ll never understand being happy with competitive and they will never understand expecting playing to your talent level. How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

Ben is in decline. how many 40 year old QB's have there been that are among the 10 best in the NFL? Very few, maybe Brady. The best thing I can say is Ben is playing for a cap reasonable amount. Thanks Ben, but make no mistake about it the " Tomlin lovers " will blame him for the losses. Tomln himself seldom takes the blame.Last edited by Joel Buchsbaum; 04-22-2021, 08:22 AM.Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I tried having a second account for a week and a half.
posts like the one above will only continue our feud which was caused by you saying this about my Mom:
my mother is currently in hospice, the doctor said she probably has two weeks left to live.
instead of apologizing for what you said so this feud can end for the betterment of this message board you continue to make it worse. How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

Ovi already admitted in the past that he is happy being competitive and doesn’t really care about winning in the post season.

Anyway, I assume that we've said all we're going to say on Tomlin here.
And it's probably not wise to keep saying the same things over and over in the same thread. Not that it's stopped me before <insert shame emoji>.
So, I'm going to try to be out on this one so I can enjoy the draft talk. Unless there's some new argument that I see...which I think is pretty unlikely at this point. I'll think of it as a test of willpower.Comment

The problem is that you havent established that coaching is the reason we are losing in the playoffs and that bringing in a new coach would propel us to a Superbowl.Comment

I mean really, wouldn't you say that returning to this board after being banned is a slap in the face to the mods here and a clear violation of this message board's rules?
you're the last guy here who should ever bring up the subject of violating board rules.Last edited by hawaiiansteel; 04-22-2021, 11:52 AM.Comment

31 out of 32 NFL teams won't win it, or 96.875% of them. this means every team only has a 3.125% chance of winning.
way to go out on a limb with that prediction and then patting yourself on the back afterwardsComment

people who predict Tomlin won't win a Super Bowl every year crack me up.

especially when the team has a 39 year old QB and had to move on from a few key players due to cap constraints.
now, how about guaranteeing we miss the playoffs next year? Doubt he would take that chance.Steelers 27
