I think if the Lions thought MR is better than Goff, they'd have made a nice trade with us by now

Personally I think TODAY Mason is better than Goff.

Goff definitely had a hot start and was in an offense that is extremely friendly for QB’s. Jimmy G is similar. I don’t see anything special about Jimmy G besides the offense he was in which is why the team is moving on from him.

Both have better resumes but if you put Mason on the Rams or 49ers I think you get the same or even better results because Mason throws a great deep ball.

Mason craps himself when there's any pressure and he's not nearly as accurate on short throws as they are, I think he'd flop in either system. His lollipop deep balls are the only thing he does reasonably well, but we didn't see much of that in 2019.

MR got dethroned by the duck. Goff is worlds better than MR.

              Personally TODAY… lol.

I didn’t say he was better in 2019. I think both these QB’s have regressed which is why they are on new teams (Jimmy G will be on a new one or jobless this year IMO)

                    Traditional stats:

                    Goff's 2021: 67.2%, 3245 yards, 19 TD, 8 INT, 91.5 rating
                    Mason's 2019: 62.2%, 1765 yards, 13 TD, 9 INT, 82.0 rating

"But that was only Mason's 2nd year in the league. REEEEEEEE!!!!!"

                    Goff's 2nd year, 2017: 62.1%, 3801 yards, 28 TD, 7 INT, 100.5 rating

                    Career numbers:

                    Goff: 64.1%, 21416 yards, 126 TD, 63 INT, 91.5 rating
                    Rudolph: 61.5%, 2366 yards, 16 TD, 11 INT, 80.5 rating

"But they traded him in his prime! REEEEEEE!!!!!"

Yes, McVay made a bold move because he didn't think Jared could get them over the hump, maybe he would not have last year, but Goff was 42-20 as a Ram under McVay.

Rudolph is entering his prime, too, and was the only QB on the roster a few months ago and still won't be the starter. They signed their 2022 starter on the first day of free agency and drafted their future starter with their first pick in the draft.

How much money did you guys lose betting on the Rams? Or did JG cost you a fantasy championship? Maybe you can convince me and others if you yell louder and pound the table harder.
I don't think Mason is better than Goff.

But I also think it's important to remember who the skill players were when Mason was under center for us. We had a lot of guys get hurt and he was throwing to a lot of replacement level guys.

                    I don't think he's a starter in the NFL.

But he's probably an average to decent backup.

I think he'll still get a contract somewhere to be a backup when he leaves the team (I think after the season and not by trade).

The better for the three parts is a trade. The PS save around 4 millions and gain (if there's luck) a 4th or 5th (a 6th at this point is good for me). And I think he isn't a starter in this league. A good one I mean. A average back up yes, but not like Batch for example.
For MR because the people don't like him and go to boo him if he play. He needs a fresh start elsewhere.
And the other team gain that, a average back up.

Where are you in Spain? I've been there twice in the last decade and loved it.

Who was the last starter Detroit traded to Pittsburgh?? I think the Pittsburgh-Carolina pipeline is more frequented...
