    Goff sucks.. lol.

I know people hate Mason because we said we had a first round grade on him so fans wanted first round talent but this is ridiculous.

He is not nearly as bad as fans make him out to be.

Honestly, I don't think the MR assessment is hatred. It's just that he hasn't shown capable of being a #1 QB (reminder: they tied the winless Lions with him under center last year). I honestly think it was that the team talked so highly of him, many feared they wouldn't do much in the way of trying to replace Ben.

But, getting Tribusky (who athletically seems to be a solid fit for the offense) AND drafting KP8, the team showed that all the MR talk was simply speaking highly of your own player in an effort to boost his confidence.

Unless the Steelers get at least a starting NFL linebacker for Mason Rudolph

You see Wilson may be out for the year. On any given play....

The wise move would be keep all (4) QBs, 2 active on game day, 1 inactive, and 1 on the PS.

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

I really don’t understand the Detroit Lions example. Ben has lost to worse teams.. and NO, I’m not saying Mason is on Ben’s level.. just that tying a team like the Lions isn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

The harsh reality is backup QB’s get limited chances and anytime they slip up its treated like they will perform that way for every game.

and lets not forget DJ and Muth both fumbled chances to win the game after catching passes from Mason.

Keep in mind, if not for a blown call the Lions would have beaten the Ravens last year with Lamaar under center. Even then it took a lucky FG bounce for them to win.

The Steelers had at least 2 chances to beat the Lions outright and DJ and Muth both fumbled the win away.

You guys are drinking some serious Kool-Aid if you think Mason is better. Goff has vastly superior numbers and took the Rams to a Super Bowl...that season he graded out at 85.5 on PFF, the same year Pro Bowl Mitch graded out at 63.0. Mason's only season as a starter was 53.5.

Pretty sure Tomlin lost to those teams and not Ben.

Rex Grossman made a SB too.. lol.

If he was really that good he wouldn’t have been traded to the Lions.

Given MR’s experience with him I don’t see why we wouldn’t just keep him around to help/support the development of both MT and KP.

I really don’t see teams giving us much for him to make it worthwhile to let him go.

I think you are confusing Goff with someone else. He is really terrible.

Not sure MT's gonna learn much from MR because MT has way more NFL starts.

Interesting that the Lions, the team that beat MR in a game wants him. Maybe they think Pitt does not develop QB's well and can get more out of MR. I still think MR can play well.

Yep...they must be drinking LSD because they are straight hallucinating if they think he's better then Goff. It's amazing how many lose their objectivity just because a guy plays on their favorite team.
