so using your example now that we have held on too long to fire Tomlin we also won't win another Super Bowl for the next 30 years just like the Dolphins.

and we'll hire lousy coaches like Adam Gase as a result.

    got it.

I’m sure Tomlin doesn’t care how long Ben will be here. The checks clear regardless of who is on the roster.

The Rooney's will go with Tomlin for as long as he wants to coach. The Rooney's want to make money and that's what they are doing. Unfortunately the NFL is now about being WOKE. That's how you make money and that's what the Rooneys will do. I know some of us don't like this but that is professional sports 2021. When Ben leaves I'm done after 58 years, since Buzz Butter. H*'ll my apparent joke in my previous post about guys dressing up as chicks is closer than you think.

          Gotta love the hate.

I bet SM puts that in his eulogy.

“and curse Tomlin to hell for us not winning a SB for 30 years and counting because he wasn’t fired a decade earlier.”

okay.. I know the internet makes people crazy but this takes the cake. No problem with you moving on after Ben retires.

Some fans are fans of players and not teams.

All owners want to make money. That is a given. But it sure is weird to call the same team who gave Ben another year after 4 INT’s in the playoffs “woke”

if they were truly as “woke” as you guys imply Ben would’ve never been drafted. TJ Watt wouldn’t have been drafted and Dupree would still be here..

We would’ve only had Black QB’s, Black OC’s and Black jerseys for every game.

as far as men in cheerleading outfits, if that’s what gets you off. cool.. do you.

but all I know is when dudes bring up cross dressing they usually have a few outfits in their closet.. lol.

What does Tomlin’s politics have to do with coaching the team? If you think Clinton is the worst person on the planet I’m sure you probably like candidates that others feel are just as bad or worse. Doesn’t matter tho.. lol.
That's exactly right. His politics are HIS business. The same for everyone else. The problem is when you bring your personal politics into the organization, especially as a public figure. We have seen this with the team and the league for years, which is why viewership has plummeted.

Just curious, how do you think it would have played if Harbaugh or Belicheck hosted a fundraiser for Trump? We've just seen yet another example of people being attacked for having a 'personal' political belief (Brett Favre). But this only seems to apply to one side...

Ben was definitely part of the reason we had success. He made plays and was clutch in close games early in his career.

But every time we made a SB we also had a top 3 defense. Defenses that hid our mistakes on offense and produced points.
I agree that great D was a huge part of that success. Thanks for pointing that out.

And he plays in the conference that's been easier to win over the majority of his career (and Tomlin's since their timelines are about the same).

Agree. He should have been fired long ago too

The reason I am moving on is I love the Pittsburgh Steelers .I have been a fan since Buzz Butter was the center and John Henry Johnson was the RB. I know when Ben goes we will wander for a period of time, perhaps 10 years while we get whipped by the Browns and the Bengals because the Rooney's will still make money. I think Tomlin is a good coach in todays NFL. I am not into the politic end of the NFL. If Tomlin loves Hillary Clinton. I don't care, I don't want to know about it. Being woke is being Democrat and that is their business but don't make it mine. I just want to enjoy a few more years of the Pittsburgh Steelers with my QB who ain't woke. Who hunts, fishes, and supports the police. I don't want to wander in the desert for 10 years for a bunch of woke losers.

He will faceplant over the next 3 years regardless. Thus, cementing a 15 legacy of faceplanting.
Tomlin just has to play within himself and generate fewer turnovers in the playoffs...

yeah, when Tomlin throws 4 interceptions in our playoff game it makes it really difficult to win.

Maybe Tomlin, the great defensive coach, can come up with a way not to give up 93 points in the next 2 playoff games
