As they they say in sports, you can't fire the owner. Jones is a dangerous combination of having a huge ego, old, and being not as smart as he things. A man who hates to admit he's wrong too. Now the cowboys are married to Dak Prescot. Sure he's worth the contract
There is a reason this team has lost 13 playoff games since 1997 and won very few.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.
Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

On this we agree. I doubt they win a SB again with JJ as the owner but I definitely think they will win hames with Dak. He’s a good QB who makes the team better.
I also wonder if this means the cap is going to jump up next year once things reopen.. or maybe Jerry is just old school and likes to throw big money at QB’s.Steelers 27

In his last 17 starts Dak Prescott is 6-11. Rather alarming. He has two pro bowl level guys on the OL and good receivers. I think Elliot is about cooked at running back so that safety blanket is on his way out.
Dak has a losing record in the playoffs. Yeah, he's a top fantasy QB. No close to worth this contact.
I would roll Dalton or a draft a QB and use Dak's 40 + Million a year contract to re-build the defense in free agency In the long run, they would be better off. These choke the life out of their team, cap killing QB's who are maybe 10th-15th best in the NFL should not be the highest paid.
