You must be looking at career stats which isn't really relevant for the Steelers. whatevers numbers are correct for 2020.

We aren’t getting another Heath, Big Snack or Hines.. let go and let God.

I agree we need another blocking TE but Ebron is a weapon. No one should care what bad franchises say about players who leave. Ebron could probably right a book about how bad the Detroit FO has been while he was there.
Don’t get me wrong. I am proposing we let Ebron play out his contract and I do like what he can bring to our game, as he is big and athletic. But, he does have a habit of having drive ending drops, drive-killing penalties, and running his mouth about going to the Super Bowl when we were undefeated. The only appropriate time in my mind to publicly state your going to the Super Bowl was two weeks ago after both games were done. Is he still saying that on his couch now?

And now, a much more controversial position: Heath really wasn’t all that good his last 3-4 years except for his blocking. He was so unathletic with no YAC, had a few drops himself. However, he was a consummate pro and did what he could to help the team and keep the chains moving. I Don’t want a Heath clone—I want a Kittle, Gronk, Kelce clone.

Did you notice how many times Ebron failed to realize he’d found the soft spot in the coverage and kept running himself into coverage? Guy is an athlete with a low football IQ.

Ebron definitely has his blind spots. Can’t say I’ve paid attention to him running into coverage but maybe if Ben practiced everyday their chemistry would improve.

lmao at having a habit of talking about the SB. Didn’t he do it one time in his career?

Oh yeah, their chemistry was not always good, but TEs especially need to realize when they have found that hole in the coverage and gear down/stop. A number of times Ben threw to the hole and Ebron kept on running. Ben should practice more but that recognition has to improve on Ebron’s part.

And yes, he only talked about the SB once, but he had a number of run your mouth moments off the field. Trash talking on the field is one thing, but he really has a lot of talent and maybe could take the game a little more seriously.

I agree there are lots of factors, and because of our current spot as a team I would keep him another year (even though he is overpaid a bit, IMO). As a die-hard Steeler fan, I hope he finally fulfills his potential, because he could be scary good.

There’s a fairly good chance that the Pittsburgh Steelers will select a tight end in the 2021 NFL Draft with Vance McDonald now retired and Eric Ebron about to enter the final year of his current contract. Because of that, it will be important to pay close attention to this year’s draftable tight end group. […]

if people inside the nfl have called him a genius.

i'm think they might be calling tomlin (behind closed doors) "the idiot"

do they give out any super bowl rings for this kind of cheating?

you've been on this board long enough.

you should learn how to post images, it's not that hard to do.
