A TE who can really block in this draft. Tommy Tremble

I don’t understand why Ebron is treated like this on here. I had serious doubts about his hands but he played well.
This idea that our TE to be a Heath Miller clone needs to stop.
We aren’t getting another Heath, Big Snack or Hines.. let go and let God.
I agree we need another blocking TE but Ebron is a weapon. No one should care what bad franchises say about players who leave. Ebron could probably right a book about how bad the Detroit FO has been while he was there.
And now, a much more controversial position: Heath really wasn’t all that good his last 3-4 years except for his blocking. He was so unathletic with no YAC, had a few drops himself. However, he was a consummate pro and did what he could to help the team and keep the chains moving. I Don’t want a Heath clone—I want a Kittle, Gronk, Kelce clone.
Did you notice how many times Ebron failed to realize he’d found the soft spot in the coverage and kept running himself into coverage? Guy is an athlete with a low football IQ.Comment

Don’t get me wrong. I am proposing we let Ebron play out his contract and I do like what he can bring to our game, as he is big and athletic. But, he does have a habit of having drive ending drops, drive-killing penalties, and running his mouth about going to the Super Bowl when we were undefeated. The only appropriate time in my mind to publicly state your going to the Super Bowl was two weeks ago after both games were done. Is he still saying that on his couch now?

Where are you seeing this? He's 57th overall in terms of catches, tied for 52nd in touchdowns and 81st in yards. All for a 2021 cap number of 8.5 million and he's awful as a block. If cut, we get back, $6,000,000. Enough to buy a good Offensive lineman who starts in free agency, or extend big Al for a few seasons. In my opinion he's not a good character team guy.

And yes, he only talked about the SB once, but he had a number of run your mouth moments off the field. Trash talking on the field is one thing, but he really has a lot of talent and maybe could take the game a little more seriously.
I agree there are lots of factors, and because of our current spot as a team I would keep him another year (even though he is overpaid a bit, IMO). As a die-hard Steeler fan, I hope he finally fulfills his potential, because he could be scary good.Comment

There’s a fairly good chance that the Pittsburgh Steelers will select a tight end in the 2021 NFL Draft with Vance McDonald now retired and Eric Ebron about to enter the final year of his current contract. Because of that, it will be important to pay close attention to this year’s draftable tight end group. […]
Seems that Colbert is really interested in Yeboah.Comment
