I think Tomlin (and possibly Butler) were never given the blame they deserved for the Harrison situation. It was reported in the post-gazette the JH was acting professionally and asked multiple times to be traded if the Steelers refused to play him and Tomlin kept telling him he was in their plans. I think he was driven to be an ass hat because he couldn’t get an honest response.
I’ll never believe he could not have added something when they kept putting that bag of mediocrity Dupree on the field.Last edited by Ghost; 01-20-2019, 10:37 PM.sigpicComment

And I also agree, JH probably had a few plays left in which he could have made a difference.Comment

He has the most number one scoring defenses in Steeler History
He has the most number one yardage defenses in Steeler history
Yet
He has the top 3 and six of the top 8 scoring offenses in Steeler history as well.
Before you start talking "eras" in 79 Noll had an offense that scored more points than ANY Cowher offense.
Tomlin had a bad season, no denying that.
But both sides of the ball have been pretty good overall (albiet not often in the same season).sigpic
In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than CowherComment

Not a fan of how Harrison was treated for YEARS.
Never mind Dupree....what was he EVER doing being the backup to Jarvis Jones?
People forget THE VERY SEASON BEFORE his last season when he they wouldnt play him HE LEAD THE LEAGUE in post season sacks!!!!
Now I got a big problem with JH and the video with Brown......but I "get" his being upset with Tomlin.
That is why I take his recent "potshots" as being a result of his (understandable) lingering bitterness.Last edited by Captain Lemming; 01-21-2019, 01:04 AM.sigpic
