I wouldn't cry, just like the players didn't cry. I would probably do the same thing they did if I was lied to and felt betrayed.
They may be up for contract at some point but let's see how many take the Bell route, seeing they all understand that's lying to team mates, calling others out, rapping derogatory stuff, smoking weed and hanging with fat hookers is just doing businesses.
The players didn't feel lied to or betrayed, the only reason they were upset was the fact they had to keep answering the same question over and over again. I just picture Pouncey sitting in front his locker in tears and Foster handing him a tissue saying "that pig". Grow the hell up, it was about his contract the players understand it, you won't find a player that is going to tell a guy who has a shot at a lot of guaranteed money, that they should play without it for the good of the team.

Some of LeVeon Bell's teammates are unhappy the Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro running back has continued his holdout four days before the team's first game of the 2018 season. Per ESPN...

They sounded like a bunch of whining babies.

            That was embarrassing.

Now listen how they talk about Bell a year later. Shows us they were in their feelings and not professional at al when they were crying to the media.

Le'Veon Bell shows out in revenge game

This is the matchup we've been waiting for all season! Le'Veon Bell will face his former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, on Sunday. While with the Steelers from 2013 to '17, Bell led the league with 129 scrimmage yards per game (min. 30 games), but in his first season with the Jets, he's averaging 83.1 scrimmage yards per game. In fact, he has yet to register 100 rushing yards in a game -- but he'll put that streak to an end on Sunday. Bell goes off against his former squad for his best game of the season by racking up at least 130 rush yards and two touchdowns.

              http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ts-his-revenge
Maurice Jones-Drew has been one of Bell's biggest backers in the media. He called Bell his No. 3 back going into the season.
Predicted he would return to full form and be great. His predictions were spectacularly wrong. Bell has 676 rushing yards which puts him at
25th in the NFL. His 3.3 yards per carry is lowest among the top 37 backs in the NFL with 500 or more rushing yards. And it's not just the O-line.
But now he is going to have 130 yards rushing against the Steelers D, which would be about 45 more yards than he has had all season.

That's going down In flames also. Bell is a slowish back now. His longest run is about 18 yards. Why would Bell perform so well on Pittsburgh?
Because he is getting revenge on them for not offering $60 million guaranteed? Boo-hoo, tears cascade from my eyes thinking of the injustice.
Despite what his teammates are saying now, they want to stop Bell and put some hits on him. There will be no love lost.

But the goal for Bell and his devoted fans was to get paid the huge guarantee. And he got that so he and his devoted fans have won.
Performance on the field was never mandatory. There are no Ws or L's or rushing stats on the pay stub.

Bell got paid and the Jets got played.

I have seen pouncey on the subject and saying things like "its a little selfish" and "its Bell over the Steelers" are not him being scorned, that was the reality of the situation. Contract disputes are selfish by nature bwcause you are trying to negotiate a contract for yourself. Ramon Foster didnt care about Leveon Bell showing up, he used damn near every opportunity to complain about his own contract. Besides you have a couple of quotes there and this went on for over a year, so I stick by what I said, the players do not care about hold outs, they dont take it personally.

I dont see how Bell gets 130yds and 2 TD's behind that o-line, that wont happen.

It's Bell, it's not the O-line, every other NFL team doesn't have a better O-line, this year I am not convinced the
Steelers O-line run blocks that well. Bell is a below-average player now. His fans cannot accept that, but it's true.

Fact is some of them WERE hurt. Fact is they got over it. It is these are not mutually exclusive feelings.

Don't forget that the biggest hurt expressions came from Pouncey who subsequently got paid an an extension and his buddy Ben got paid big time. Does that even happen if Bell signs?

Why would Pouncey hate on Bell?He personally benefited from Bells NOT staying my friends.

Bell ain't even all that as a player anymore.

You wind up with a hotter nicer woman of your dreams. She adores you. Your ex on the other hand, is not aging well at all.

You don't hate her. You actually ENJOY seeing her because you know she knows she blew it.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Bell lost money and value with his decisions. The Bell-washers have to resort to engaging in an amorphous mix of ignoring facts and disputing clear probabilities to declare that his hold out was a victory. Both Bell and the Jets lost. It was, and continues to be, a lose-lose situation. As perennially idiotic as the Jets are, even they realize it now. Bell will never be bright enough to realize that he blew it. But he did.

Bell will face Divine justice on the football field today. Final score: America/god/Steelers 1, Bell -0.

i keep reading that Bell's contract with the Jets had 27 mill guaranteed. Does anyone have a link with some true numbers? If the above # is true.. it seems he turned down a better contract with us

He did turn down a better contract. And that doesn't even begin to factor in what he did to his career by joining the Jets (yes, he chose the f'ing Jets for Chrissakes), which also has considerable value. And the fact that he forfeited $14.5 million just for the privilege of making this idiotic decision is absolutely dispositive on the issue. What a maroon.

I think the income tax rate is about 3 times more in NY compared to Pitt.
