im sort of questioning that whole concept myself... its not like the Jets are a 1 or 2 win team... and keep in mind Darnold was out for an extended period

From the start, the Ravens defense was playing lackadaisical; they didn't view the Jets as a real threat on offense. Anyone who has watched the Ravens all year will tell you the same thing. Defensively, they looked nothing like the defense I saw against the 49ers. Nothing. No fire, just going thru the motions.

Jets did what they did (offensively) because the Ravens (defensively) are gearing up to lay it on the Browns next week in their last big game before taking week 17 off.

Jets O-line is garbage who were the more motivated of the two for a lot of the game. Same Jets O-line that got demolished by the Bengals just a week ago.

Amazingly the defense is solid again.

If they did what they are doing now...when Ben was at his peak....sacrificed elite talent ast non-critical positions...not signing every Bell, Brown, or Pouncey to have the money to spend, we would have ALWAYS been better off.

The Fitzmagic trade was awesome but it’s RARE to get a guy like that on a rookie contract. Colbert has shopped before, we just bought the wrong products on defense.

I’m not knocking what this D has accomplished this year but you can’t cherry pick it and suggest we would’ve had more success without some of our best players on offense.

We made it to an AFCCG with our expensive offense.

I’m not so sure we make a deep run with this D and this offense.

That OL isn’t good. Remember the Browns also ran all over that Ravens defense earlier in the year.

Ravens also did a lot of blitzing.

I think they said the Jets have 15 guys on IR.

Im sure in most stats, metrics and polls they are a bottom 5 OL.

Jets O line was ranked 28th in the league to start the season by PFF and that was using the guys who were supposed to start. They have had injuries and they have been moving guys around.

In a cap league, the question isn't: Is a player good / bad?

It's: Do they deliver more value than their contract?

It seems clear that Bell will always be overpaid on his current deal.

Bell received 23 touches in last night's game and got 88 yards (3.83 yd/avg per touch) and scored zero TDs.

definitely not worth anywhere near $15 million/yr.
