The excuses that the Bell-lovers have been making for him all season were just blown away by Powell's performance today.

If I understand the salary figures correctly, Bell will make about $15 million this season -- or just a little under $1 million per game.
Powell will make about $1 million this season -- or just under $63,000 per game.
This season, Bell has averaged 3.2 yards per carry, for about 50 yards a game.
Powell, running behind the same line, averaged 3.9 yards per carry today, for 74 yards.
Maybe Powell didn't "blow away" Bell's production, but it's not hard to see who's the better value.Comment

anybody still defending bell and his production this year should not be taken seriously. it's universally accepted that he is having a dismal yearComment

That’s like saying yesterday is proof you shouldn’t draft a QB with the first pick because Duck looked better than Murray.
Seriously. You can do this with ANY position where a guy making base salary has a good game or 2.
This obsession you guys have with the RB is hilarious.
Who have you heard in the AZ, Dallas, Rams and Jets orgs who has said this was a mistake? You are just making stuff up dude.Last edited by Oh wow; 12-09-2019, 08:13 AM.Comment

I’m sorry but this sounds dumb as hell Ernie.

this has nothing to do with where they were drafted... but overpaying for the position..
and Powell wasnt a "One hit wonder". Dude outperformed Bell last year (which isnt hard to do).
Bell has fallen off of a cliff... its fine, dude.. just own it and move onComment

Then again you were the one who used one stat to compare Rudolph and Ben’s rookie year.Comment

Well Powell also only had 80 carries and 11 catches while only playing in 7 games, he really didnt much of anything last year. So looking at just YPC doesnt really tell you a lot.Comment
