I think there is a difference in drug testing, big difference between having your blood drawn with a needle and having to pee in a cup. Also 5 times in 10 weeks is a bit excessive and he is not the first guy to complain about this.

Tell me how Bell shouldn't get tested more than his co-workers but I should.
You shouldn’t get tested more than your coworkers.

Have you been tested 5 times in 10 weeks?

      I seriously doubt it.

and if you complained about it I wouldn’t think you were acting out of line.

James Harrison was annoyed at the amount of testing he was getting while playing.

I think it’s an issue if you are being tested every week and the guy next to you is being tested once a year.
No but, then I’m also not a known drug user. However I have been tested on Consecutive weeks.

The word random means no pattern or planned consistency. A smart person shouldn't think everyone will be tested the same amount of times.

And once again, you agreed to it and you are a known violator.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Wasn’t this for performance enhancing drugs.

Doing a Google search, what I found was 10 players from every team get drug tested every week. This includes the 53 plus practice squad.
So like 1 in 6 players will be tested weekly.
A computer kicks out the names.
I'm guessing other players probably get tested more often than others but they choose not to cry about it on Twitter.
I would bet if you put 60 numbers in a hat and pulled 10 a week, you would find that certain numbers show up more than others.

I could be wrong tho if the NFL changed their policy and does it different now.

We didn’t care because they weren’t former Steelers.

When JH was complaining most people on here were on his side.

Weird how you call Tomlin a POS and complain about fans liking draft picks but a player complaining on Twitter is crying?

It’s just complaining. We all do it.

I knew that there was a chance Harrison was being 'randomed' more than usual, but I wasn't defending him, playing the race card or telling him to sue.
He made his bed. He knew the rules.
He bitched about it but didn't say he would never take one again.
Let's see if Bell is a man and backs that up.
Seeing that everyone gets tested at the beginning of the year, it won't be long to find out.
                    Maybe sooner.

We live in an age where people actually it ally take Twitter as facts.

Anyone holding a player to their words on Twitter has too much time on their hands.

I agree that it's excessive for a player not in the drug program.

But someone who's in the program accepts increased random testing as a condition of continued employment.

But we don't K ow who's in the program because the league can't disclose it early in the process (which is reasonable IMO) .

                          Le'Veon Bell, New York Jets

The deal: Four years, $52.5 million

The famous phrase surrounding Bell was that the Steelers wanted to "pay the position, not the player." The implication, of course, is that Bell transcends the running back position. While he attracted a ton of volume as a receiver in Pittsburgh, the argument that he deserved to be paid like a combo of a running back and wide receiver didn't stand serious scrutiny. The Steelers did just fine at running back without Bell in 2018.

Bell's stint in New York has been a disaster. Surrounded by a dismal offensive line and with a coach who might not want him altogether, the three-time Pro Bowler has averaged just 3.2 yards per carry and has yet to top 70 rushing or receiving yards in a game. His longest play of the season has gone for only 21 yards, and while he was incredibly efficient in Pittsburgh, Bell ranks dead last in DVOA and 28th in success rate, which measures how frequently a back keeps his offense on schedule. DVOA doesn't tell the whole story for running backs, but Bell hasn't remotely moved the needle in his first season in the Big Apple.

It depends who the player is, what they said and if you are a fan of him or not.

Congrats to Bell on getting paid. His skipping last year.... and his "Falling off the cliff" in NY has undoubtedly cost him a shot at the HOF. I seriously doubt he cares though.

He definitely didn't help future rbs out on setting the bar but he did help them by showing what not to do.
He also helped the gms out.
