IMO, having him as a Steeler would be nice as part of a RB by committee but his price was too high. He's a good back on a bad team, and with the Steelers he was a good back on a good team which made him look like a great back.

Him, don't know about that. First Bell complained he was getting too many carries, then he complained he wanted to be 'the man' and wasn't getting the ball enough. Bell was just all over the place.

I will agree the runblocking has been suspect this year, but name one thing Conner had last year that he doesnt this year?

Let me fix your original statement "Conner last year made our Oline look better at runblocking" LOL
I don't think run blocking has been suspect. I think teams are stacking the box and outnumbering the OL because Ben is not back there to make them pay. Until they let MR fling the ball around we will see these stacked boxes.

Turn MR loose starting this week

The ONLY thing Bell wanted was to reset the bar for a dual threat running back. I don’t think it would have mattered what we offered. His decision was ego-driven and he was SALIVATING to test free agency. He still did ok but failed his mission and his career and the Steelers success both suffered because of it.

Bell was lying when he made that claim. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. He wanted money for him and him only.
I actually think his production along with Gurley, Gordon and possibly Elliot's will prove that spending big money on rbs is not smart.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

considering hes ranked 18th in the league in rushing.. i think you are right

326 yards through 6 games. for an average of 3.3. Whatever happened to him being such an "elite" player that he lifts the rest of the offense?

Overrated and grossly overpaid. Glad we are rid of him.

                        today's stats for Leave'on:

                        9 carries for 23 yds, 2.6 yd/avg and 3 catches for 12 yds.

I hope fantasy owners didn't listen to Bell's plea to draft him #1 overall this year...

If he wasn't so great his numbers would be much worse with that high school oline.

If coaching is more important than talent, does this mean that Tomlin is a good coach?
