AB's "dancing" penalty was for what exactly?

      Don't f* with the team ... It's pretty clear-cut, isn't it?
Define doing nothing. The rules haven't defined it.

If a fist pump is suddenly determined to be sexual by one of the refs, should they stop fist pumping? How about scowling after a TD? If some ref decides that that's mocking the opponent, should they begin pasting grins on their faces?

Unless you have a clearly marked set of directives about what is acceptable and what is not, and you leave it to the refs, its not really a rule anymore. Its bunkum.

        My thoughts exactly.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

It's no more complicated than being in 3rd grade and knowing the teacher is in a bad mood and doing everything possible to stay off her radar screen and out of trouble. That's not the time to talk out in class, or even look sassy with an attitude. Head down, stay out of trouble.

He clearly is not dancing/twerking/whatever to do right by the team. Though he may be trying to stay on the right side of some fuzzy line of penalizeable activity, he's willing to push it as much as he can for a chance to show off. (I'm assuming he does want to avoid penalties, but who knows what someone else's motives are). He's willing to take a chance of a penalty he doesn't have to, so he can twerk - even though he clearly knows all he has to do is just shut it down, go to the sideline, and he's pretty much guaranteed to not get a penalty. But he's decided not to do that.

"Penalties haven't hurt the team" ... isn't that like saying, "I've been driving drunk all week without a seatbelt and haven't gotten into an accident yet"?

Any action on the field should be for the good of the team, right? And these forms of self-expression are good for the team ... how?

Hey bostonsteeler, I hope you know this post is nothing against you personally at all .

But the penalties haven't hurt the team, in fact I hope we get a ton of celebration penalties because that means we are doing a ton of celebrating.

One flag should be enough to stop AB from continuing with pointless, showing off dancing etc. I don't recall if he was flagged last year. I believe he's been flagged twice this year. At some point those flags might hurt the team. AB has a target on his back. Why even give the refs a reason to throw flags?

It seems to me that AB has pretty good timing for his TD celebrations...it isn't like he gets flags in tight games when penalties could actually matter...

That being the case, I agree with a previous poster that celebrating a lot is a good thing...

All he has to do is dance without pumping his pelvis. That's it! That's where the 15 yards are coming from. It shouldn't be too hard to figure that out and make the necessary adjustments!

I believe he was flagged at least once last year, when he tried to hump the goal post after returning a punt against the Bengals.

Brown has issues with humping and pumping.

You may have a point there. He has 4 TD's so far...two in the WAS game and two in the KC game.

In the WAS game, his first TD made it 7-6. No twerk. Close game. His second TD made it 24-6.Starting to run away with it. Twerk away.

In the KC game, his first TD made it 15-0. No twerk. Still early. His second TD made it 22-0. Starting to run away with it. Twerk away.

                              Just a thought...
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Even last year when he front flipped into the EZ vs the Browns or humped the goal post against Indy...both of those games were blowouts by the Steelers before AB did any penalty-worthy celebrations...
