The fact remains that our Defense is weak since Haleys arrival, minus year one before the Offense came together under Haley.

It's easy to skew stats to fit your argument, but it doesn't make you less wrong.

Defense is where championships are won....See Denver or any of our six....Defense...defense ...defense

So where was our defense when Fitz killed our prevent? You can't give up points when the offense controls the ball.

24 minutes of the first half were played, the defense was on the field TWICE, and gave up a touchdown.

Sorry kids, that's not good defense. That's Arians/Ben protecting them.

      As usual.

If Mr. Haley remains? That contract is a mistake.

Would have been better for all involved to just shake hands and part ways. Keeping Haley here has done what DA Bright couldn't do: It killed Ben's career.

Actually that's all the Ben Haters/Pro Haley people have done to try and justify this trash.

Facts are that Haley was brought here to keep Ben "safe", he has failed. Because Haley's ONLY answer to do that is to try and run MORE.

Then it fails, they get behind. then Ben turns into Philip Rivers Part II throwing for meaningless yards in scrap time.

Again, sad to watch. Ben doesn't deserve what Art II did to him. Would have been better off to just cut him after Milledgeville.

This article was written by the best sports writer in Pittsburgh RIGHT AFTER Haley was hired.

          http://triblive.com//x/pittsburghtrib/sports/steelers/s_780548.html#axzz3FsHV2s7Z

Now, be honest, what's changed in regards to Haley both ON and OFF the field.

          Not a damn thing.

          So we all suffer.

Bye kids. I'll try and come back the next time I vanish and then a Mod here calls me out.

It's amazing to me that someone can be such a fan of this team and at the same time, hate nearly everything about them except for Ben. When we win #7, I'm sure it'll be because Ben saved everyone - including Tomlin, Haley, Butler and Rooney - from their ineptness. This goes back WAY before Haley ever entered the picture. Nothing but the same old constant, condescending complaining and agenda since forums were invented.

Someone uses stats to back up an argument to the "king of stats"... the response is "watch the games". It's like arguing with a Siri-like stat-machine pre-programmed with only half a dozen responses.

In the first half, the defense also scored the decisive points in the contest...was that Arians/Ben protecting them?

Ben and Santonio were beyond heroic in that last drive...but, if Harrison doesn't score the TD, it doesn't matter...

But, hey, to be fair, the Cardinals had a pretty good offensive coordinator in that SB...

I agree defense wins championships and when it did people bitched about the offense. 2 AFC Championships, 2 SB appearances and 1 Lombardi in 5 years and all we heard was BA has to go, we need more offense, etc. People need to remember its a balancing act, if you have a top 5 offense chances are your defense will suffer and vice versa. Well we got more offense and now everyone is happy even tho we only have 1 playoff win in 4 years.

the decisive points were at the end of the game.

if Harrison doesnt score or drops the int they may score 7, or 3, or miss the FG. There was still a half of football to be played and when our backs were against the wall the offense came up big.

But, you didn't refute anything I said. "Ben and Santonio were beyond heroic" on that last drive. You can try to make the case that anything could have happened in the 2nd half...but, if anything could happen, how can we assume that the offense comes up big?

If we look at what actually happened, we see that the defense (specifically Harrison) came up big at the end of the first half and the offense (specifically Ben and Santonio) came up big at the end of the second half...it's a balancing act, as you said...Arians was the OC of Steelers teams with dominant defenses...so far, Haley has not been...hopefully, that changes this year...

The defense was "#1 ranked" in 2012.

                        The Steelers won 8 games.

You and your ilk have defended Mr. LeBeau's overrated ass for a decade based solely on their "RANKING" without context of how they achieved that rank.

My former OC's offenses, used to control the clock and hide the defenses weaknesses.

My current OC's offense can't. They've also scored 20 points or less on offense in 17 of their past 35 games.

My God what have I done to this team?
