Why is this board so ugly after a loss?

I think its plenty clear by now that the team's time management leaves much to be desired. Tomlin should hire a time management specialist to handle the final 3 minutes of each half of the game; he's clearly unable to do it himself. This sort of thing is just toooo frequent to be an accident.Comment

As much as I hate to say it, I will anyway. Bill Belicheat would never make crucial errors like this and that's 50% of the reason why they're undefeated. The other 50 is evident as well. I hate those two.2019 Mock

Actually I agree with what tomlin did because it allowed us to keep a timeout in our pocket as opposed to just having the two minute stoppage. That way you get to choose when to stop the clock as opposed to have to try and coordinate around the 2 minute warning. Also it becomes even more crucial if they miss the field goal and you just have to play for 3.Comment

Because you give up the 10 seconds for the free stoppage and hold the timeouts as long as possible. They could get penalty to stop the clock they could fumble a snap, they could fumble the ball, if your able to get the ball back with multiple timeouts its much more valuable than having 10 extra seconds.Last edited by Mr.wizard; 11-01-2015, 10:30 PM.Comment

If they called the timeout on 2nd down with 2:44, they would have gotten a chance at a free stoppage after the 3rd down play. They could have called a second timeout at @ 2:34 assuming we needed to for 4th down. We'd have got the ball back at 2:24 and that would have guaranteed us 2 more plays with the 2MW. Probably could have gotten 3-4 more plays in the game. Maybe more if we effectively used the sidelines.Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.Comment

it was dumb
you can spike the ball on offense to kill the clock
tomlin struggles at clock management, not sure why some refuse to admit itComment

When you are on D, the only way to stop the clock is with a TO. On O you can stop it a number of ways - spike, throw it out of bounds, design a pass play to get out of bounds (done twice in the game). Having more time would have helped at the end. Not sure why they didn't use one before the 2 minute warning.sigpicComment
