Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!
I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.Comment

I don't know, seems like last year all the hype was Jones, and we picked Jones. I don't think Frazier is gonna be our round 1 pick. It will be interesting to see what FA lands us. I think we need a stud ILB or CB in the first, hopefully a talent like Frazier is waiting in the second.2019 MNFE CHAMPIONComment

Experienced
Weaknesses:
Limited athlete
Has problems when defenders get on his edges
Lacks length
Can get overwhelmed by mass
Prospect Summary:
Frazier spent the last four seasons as a steady and consistent starter for the Mountaineers. He broke into the starting lineup in 2020 at left guard before moving to center in 2021. He then held down the middle of the West Virginia line for the next three years.
As a pass blocker, Frazier is good fit for the NFL. He is capable of blocking defensive tackles in one-on-ones and shows an excellent ability to sustain blocks. With a strong base, Frazier can sink his weight and stall bull rushes to give his quarterback time to get the ball out. Frazier plays with good leverage and is capable of bending at the knee to move with defenders rather than having to reach after him. There are times when he can get overwhelmed by mass and has problems when speed rushers get on his edges. However in pass protection, Frazier is very reliable overall.
As a run blocker, Frazier routinely opens holes via his strength, as he is very tough and physical at the point of attack. Frazier has a wrestling background, which can be seen with his strong hands, excellent hand placement, and ability to tie up defenders. Thanks to the power in his upper body, Frazier can twist, turn, and manipulate defenders at the point of attack. Frazier is a scrapper who has a physical attitude and blocks through the whistle. In the NFL, he should be a plus run blocker at center.
Frazier is a polished blocker who could play quickly in the NFL after logging a lot of experience in college. Some team sources said they feel Frazier could be a starting guard or center. Multiple team sources stated he is worthy of being a second- or third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Prospect Comparison:
Tyler Biadasz. Frazier reminds me of Biadasz coming out of Wisconsin. In the NFL, Biadasz turned into a solid starting center for the Cowboys.

Steelers Hosting West Virginia Center for Pre-Draft Visit
The Pittsburgh Steelers are staying connected to one of the top centers in the NFL Draft.
MAR 7, 2024
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers will hold a pre-draft visit with one of the top centers available in this year's NFL Draft as they seek to fill a void in their offensive line.
The Steelers have a clear target in West Virginia's Zach Frazier, who they'll hold a top 30 visit with before draft day, according to a report from Bleacher Report's Ryan Fowler. Frazier will also meet with the Chicago Bears, who formally met with him at the NFL Combine alongside the Bengals, Lions, Cowboys, Buccaneers, Chargers and Dolphins.
Frazier was a two-time All-American and three-time All-Big XII selection for the Mountaineers during his college career. He showed his durability by making 47 straight appearances, 46 of which were starts. Frazier allowed just one sack over the past two years and four over his four-year career at West Virginia.
The Steelers cut starting center Mason Cole earlier this offseason and while free agency could be an avenue they explore for a replacement, the NFL Draft will be stocked with plenty of quality centers and Frazier is one of the best available at his position.

Frazier is a local kid that Ive met and followed for years.. this pick is a no brainer...
If hes there you take him at 20 and not have to worry about the center position for the next 10 years.
Hes the definition of what it means to be a Steeler. The folks who were upset that we let Creed Humprey slip when the Chiefs drafted him... will also be shaking their heads if we let Frazier pass with our 1st.. you can say you heard it here first.Last edited by Ernie; 03-15-2024, 04:23 AM.Comment

I still think we may see a trade for a veteran center before the draft versus poutting all our hpes on a rookie. I could see trading for a vet and getting someone like Beaux Limmer in Round 4 or 5"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"Comment
