The more I watch Frazier the less I like him. I now have Barton as my number one Center, with JPJ only trailing him due to medical concerns. Next I have bumped Pran into my top 3 with Frazier as my 4th. Wouldnt shock me in the slightest if Pran comes off the board earlier than Frazier. Also do t sleep on a later round Bortolini. Guy is a technician.Trolls are people too.Comment

my time-based prediction is that Zach Frazier goes a round earlier than SVP.Comment

I wonder if the Steelers feel like they'd be OK with Van Pran and think either he or Frasier will be around in the 3rd?Comment

If OC is the direction with the first pick, there is still this dude to consider if JPJ is off the board. Or maybe as the article suggests, regardless if JPJ is there.

Honestly I have a third round grade on both Frazier and Pran. I?m giving Pran a slight edge. I like both players and think both will make above average NFL centers. But anyone drafting Pran or Frazier before the late second is reaching for need. If either are the pick in the second I won?t cry. But the Steelers shouldnt pass on a talent like Cooper if he is sitting there for Pran or Frazier. I would rather grab Barton or JPJ and lock in a center with the true upside of a first round center. Then roll with Sweat, highest ranked DB or Cooper if still there. Then grab a OT like Paul or Fisher. I could really get behind this: 1) Barton/JPJ-C 2) Sweat/Cooper-DT/ILB 3) Paul/Fisher-OTLast edited by Shawn; 04-14-2024, 08:17 AM.Trolls are people too.Comment

Yeah it always makes me nervous. But if the Steelers do their homework and they are comfortable with JPJ then Im good with it. I really do like Barton. But it would be the first time in a long long time that the Steelers first didn’t come from a power school.Trolls are people too.Comment

I think I'm going to be comfortable with whatever move they make, as long as they are focusing on the trenches with those first two picks. It's going to be fun watching how it all unfolds.sigpic

For once, id rather taken the proven player (Frazier, Pran) as opposed to the one hit wonder (JPJ) or relative unknown with a high upside "Position flexible" (Barton)Comment

Frazier might be the 1st Center off the board. JPJ's stock is sinking.. and, lets be honest.. Barton is not a proven college Center.

What are JPJ's injury concerns? That he faked a hammy to get out Sr Bowl practices after he dominated for a few days?Comment

Exactly how I feel. The top end of this OT class is very high end. One of the best. Don't ignore that."My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"Comment

51. Pittsburgh Steelers: Zach Frazier, C, West Virginia
James Daniels could move to center for the Steelers, but they could use another option.
The 6-foot-3, 313-pound Frazier is a physical and tough interior offensive lineman. He was a multi-year starter at West Virginia and enters the next level with a good amount of experience. Frazier is a former wrestler with strong hands and a serious ability to sustain blocks and tie up defenders. Frazier can also play guard given that he was a starter there as a freshman before moving to center for his other seasons with the Mountaineers.
