But it was on the internet so it must be true! (not gonna fault SM for this shoddy reporting):

Joel was calling for JW to replace NH as the starting RB. That has NOT happened as of now.

JH being a MUCH BETTER back is your opinion. Have at it.
Truth is they are both good RBs. Both playing well and being used correctly.

I like the mix now. Credit to Tomlin for changing his stripes here, this is much better than one back getting 90% of the load.

Instead of dwelling on wanting JW to replace NH as the starting RB.

The Oline (Jones) opening holes, both RBs are running well and winning games. THAT is what mattes.

$ post. Too often the Steelers were left empty by injury at RB at a critical time in the schedule. More is better than less.

I like the mix. Glad one guy doesn’t have to shoulder the load. My whole point in starting this post was that Joel saw who was the superior back a long time ago. Received a lot of grief for his stance. And he was rewarded for sticking to what he saw was true.

Some things are time based predictions. I do it often. Props.

This is the bottom line. Both are running well.

I said in September I thought Joel might be right about Warren being the better back.

I disagree on his thoughts that Najee is trash. THAT is his core message as evidenced by the fact that HE WANTED TO DRAFT A BACK ROUND ONE DESPITE HAVING WARREN.

We have TWO VERY GOOD BACKS.

I will suggest that Tomlin absolutely LOVES Najees leadership. Do not dismiss its value. It looks like NAJEE is behind the team discussions with the line that (along with Jones playing) has completely turned around the run game.

I WOULD NOT BE SHOCKED if Tomlin keeps starting Najee despite Warrens play because demoting Najee who IS PLAYING VERY WELL AND LED THESE CHANGES is not a good message to send to the team.

But is who starts really that important? This is not quarterback here.

My prediction? As long as Najee plays like he currently is THERE IS NO WAY he gets demoted.

But in any single game in terms of touches I could see Warren getting more opportunities than Najee if he is the hot back.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

I take issue with the your line that Harris is playing well. His is a backup RB who is averaging 4.0 yards a carry while splitting time with the newly promoted Warren who is averaging 5.1 yards a carry.

Warren is more likely to make the game changing plays that lead the POINTS. It that not what maters? Points. Something this offense is burdened with at Pickett as the starting QB.

As I said before Harris was a below average starting Qb. Key word here is WAS.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Dont let facts get in the way of your feelings (sarcasm)With that said, Warren is a good back. Despite popular opinion so is Harris. Numbers have played out that way and so does the eye test. Both backs are running hard and being productive. It?s a good situation for the Steelers and fans. But please dont let facts get in the way of chest beating and dressing down the community.

LOL. He was NOT promoted to starting RB. Take a look at the depth chart.

I am at the games and see the player introductions.
This is not the first time a player was introduced as a reward for good play. Doesn't mean they are the new 1st team starter.
It will be true when Tomlin announces JW has replaced NH as the starting RB.

As the OL has improved, both Warren and Harris have had more success

I always said starting is overrated. If Najee starts next game but Warren has more touches does it matter? If Warren starts the game but Najee has more touches does it matter?

What matters is both RB?s are playing well and we are winning games because of it.

its fantasy so this is moreso for fans to think about getting Warren off their bench or grabbing him if he is still available

it is a sloppy headline but fantasy football headlines have always been about fantasy.. lol.
