I agree, especially since there have been rumors about his previous immaturity also.

I certainly did some stupid things in a car as a teen. Never drove 150+ MPH, but stupid things nevertheless. I often wonder why we give driver's licenses to 16 year olds without any type of speed/reckless governing in the cars.

when you are a first round pick the last thing you should do is want to drag race.

this happened the night of their championship parade and I know college kids do college things but man.. this should’ve been 2 big guys having a good ole fashion drunk foot race not driving while intoxicated.

Not sure if they reported the woman or Carter as being drunk at the time. Update. Her level was .197 so yeah.. drunk as hell. I wouldn’t be surprised. The university already said she shouldn’t have used that car because its only for recruiting. They are trying to make sure they cover their backside.

Had no idea she was in an Expedition doing 104. These kids were switching lanes and driving against traffic.

Now hearing he left the scene.
went to his teammates who urged him to go back.
And maybe tgat he lied to police about what happened

You guys were never young? You're crazy when you're young. You are full of testosterone and ready to kick a** and get laid.

Why do you think young men fight wars. Because they can think things through and ponder life. No they are crazy. If old men fought wars, there would be no wars.

I would definitely question him but I would still draft him with the 17th pick. If anyone can read him I am sure Mike Tomlin can and I bet he will talk to him now.

What happened to our rock solid organization, locker room and HC that can fix any of these troubled souls?
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

There is a difference between 'fixing' a guy that is already on the team vs bringing in a guy with problems.

Actually, they’re are several posters here that when FA comes around and low character guys are available, they claim our environment will change them around.

I was the cautious one as a kid. Didn't like getting hurt. Only did a couple of dumb things. I let the rest of you all die or get maimed. Now, I am doing pretty good at 58, and my buddies can't walk. I guess it paid off.

He should have known that if you are involved in an alcohol related auto death, it's only OK if you are a democrat senator from Massachusetts. Kids these days just don't know history it seems.

I did stupid things when I was his age.

But nothing anywhere near this stupid.

                        There's no false equivalence here.

That’s because you were fortunate that others involved didn’t die tragically when you did dumb stuff.

I can think of a few things we did in college or HS that if someone died it turns a good memory into tragedy.

Back in HS a classmate died in a fire. Our teacher said he was out camping and tried to start a fire so he could read a book and things took a tragic turn and he ended on consumed in flames. Then about 3 months later a friend says “no, he was trying to do a satanic ritual and light a dead animal on
fire and the fumes from the gasoline burned him to a crisp”

There are certain things I refuse to tru simply because I think to myself that if I died my friends would say “why the hell was he out there doing that anyway”

No, street racing drunk is far more dangerous than any of the dumb things I did. Nobody dies from egging houses.

Difference between all of us and a potential first overall NFL draft pick. I have been telling my kids for years "I've done more stupid s$#* than you ever will. Now go online and google it, you know what comes up? Nothing!"

However...If people sat me down and said to me that I need to tone it down because there is tens of millions at stake, I think I had enough common sense at that age to not drag race with a bunch of drunk people.
