unfortunately, I have to agree with this also.

Canada is in way over his head, he's playing checkers while other team's DCs are playing chess.

Trying to discredit Shanny is a tad funny. He took over a train wreck that Tomsula and Chip Kelly create following 5-11 and 2-14 seasons. He reloaded the team in the draft and by FA in 2 short years and has been a fixture in the NFC since. That 2020 season he lost all his top guys for a large period of games, (Bosa, Coleman, Ford, Jimmy G, Kittle, Mostert, Deebo, Sherman, etc, etc). Imagine that impact on any team LOL.

He's easily been a top-3 coach the last 4 seasons.

They have to discredit him; because in that time frame he was behind Tomlin and then surpassed him with ease. They (the TTTers ) will attack any and every coach who is more successful over the last decade than Tomlin.

*** And Shanahan has built his own team; didn't need the nucleus of another championship coach's team to do what he's doing.

Nobody is trying discredit him, simply pointing out that it takes more than scheme to win. If you are going to point out that injuries effected his win loss record then we are in agreement and that is exactly the point.

I remember not so long ago when Shanahan was on the hot seat and many "fans" wanted him to be fired.

Stop telling the truth. You see, the results tell who's telling the truth and who's lying. By the results of what he's accomplished, that says your telling the truth.

It's just true, is all. When defenders are actually saying stuff like this, there isn't much left to say. Canada's attempted comeback from these comments were pretty funny, in a sad way.

He had all backups and practice squad players in 2020, so of course every good to great coach needs some quality to run his vision of things.

Yup, after 2 years of taking over a garbage team. Fans were restless too soon, and they were wrong. After his first two years, they've been an NFC force since.

***and much of that had to do with the previous 2 coaches who were garbage, so the fans had to endure 4 years of embarrassment***

Nobody is arguing against this, I in fact would call Shanahan a great coach, my issue is with the idea that Shanahan is successful because he has some unbeatable scheme. Talent makes the scheme successful, this was proven years ago when Brady left Belichick, before that Brady was thought to be the product of a coaching genius, well take away Brady and insert Mac Jones, suddenly that same scheme doesn't seem so dominant.

There's no truth to face other than the 49ers went 6-10, 4-12, 13-3, 6-10, 10-7 and 13-4 under Shanahan. What happen to the scheme in 4 of the 6 years? Hell, the Steelers were 1 game away from being 10-7 this year and by all accounts on this board, they sucked. Steelers must have a good scheme? I call BS on the scheme, the players are putting it together and they are experienced and playing at a high level right now that's why they look good.

                                Your entitled to your opinion.
                                But the results say different.
A poster already pointed out they were racked with injuries in the 4-12, 6-10 years. Injuries are the great equalizer.
