I'm gonna define lazy as "not willing to put forth effort." And that makes me think of players who come in out-of-shape into camp; gone are the days or "working yourself into shape" in the NFL, or at least that is the thinking of coaches and FO types. That being the definition, I don't see Bell or FWP as anyone who makes the list. I'd go with:

    1. Woodley - an amazing 2nd round pick until he got paid, then he ate himself off the roster.
    2. Casey Hampton - Always came in way out of shape, but one could argue, he did his job when it mattered.
    3. Kirkland - played amazing for his size, but then it got out of control, too big to play at his peak.
    4. Bettis - Most always came into camp too heavy, but played well overweight. An anomaly.
    5. Eric Greene - Should have play 20-30 lbs lighter, would have been a HOFer.
    6. Big Ben - started coming into camp a little lighter, but usually still ballooned as season progressed. Colin Cowherd blamed him for being out of shape to ending his career early, but really? He played until almost 40 (3. There is only one Brady.
    7. Dan McCullers - He couldn't move a lick, just too heavy to play.
    8. Justin Gilbert - such a high draft pick that never, ever did a thing. Too lazy to study one lick.
    9. Martavis Bryant - too into hippie lettuce. Too chill.
    10. Huey Richardson - so much talent, completely wasted for some reason.

at least you have some context. Not sure if Big Snack and Bettis were lazy. I think they are just naturally bug dudes who knew how to play with their weight.

I think Tomlin unfairly made an example out of Casey.

I think a player like Artie Burns could be on this list. He got worse the more he played and I wonder if he just stopped putting in the work?

Fitzpatrick led the team in tackles last year. The next closet player had 35 less. That's decidedly un-lazy!

I think that could just be the case of not having the brain wiring, which can only be slightly improved, not fixed.

              [QUOTE=feltdizz;888028]Minkah?

              Willie Parker is #2? [/QOUTE]

Minkah whined and cried his way out of Miami because he didn't want to tackle and only wanted to play in coverage. He's doing the same thing in the Burgh, giving very little effort in this regard. He's always 2 steps behind the ball carrier.

Willie Parker was as soft and weak as any player I've seen. The blades of grass could take him down. He led the NFL in fumbles and had no interest in securing the football properly. By the end of his career he became fat and too slow to be effective. He would avoid all contact because that is what lazy players do.

He quit on the Steelers and was more interested in rap songs, strippers and smoking dope on the way to the airport to an away game. He never took his fitness seriously and always came to camp overweight. Eventually his habits made him slow like Willie Parker and out of the league at a young age.

Wow, what a racist thing to say. lol. Mason is far from lazy. He's always in the film room. Always trains with a QB guru in the offseason. He's only bad because he's never had a functioning offense that resembles a professional one.

Minkah was our leading tackler last year. He had 35 more tackles than the next 2 highest Steelers on defense last year.

If he wasn’t lazy he should’ve had 160 right? lmao..

FWP was a UFDA. He had poor vision and no moves but he was fast as hell until he had a major injury. Never knew he got fat but I don’t think he was too lazy to avoid tacklers, he just never had wiggle or
lateral moves.. he was more of a straight line RB.

Minkah’s turned into a pretty good tackler by the end of last season. He worked on it. But it’s clear why he wants to be used to make a bigger impact which he is capable of when he’s not forced to support the run all the time.

Who was the RB that liked to show up in sweats on gameday? That dude was lazy, or injured, or just not good.

nah.. Duce Staley was balling when we first got him. Them Teddy Bruschi was caught ON FILM punching Staley’s hamstring when he was in the pile. That was the last we saw if Duce.

                            Pats were so freaking dirty.

The players weren't chosen for their skin color, I can promise you that. Besides this 80% of the players in the NFL are black, so I'm not far off from a representational standpoint. That my friend is a fantastic accomplishment for any skin color.

It is a big stretch to logically assume that the words "colorful exchanges" used together would refer to race or skin color. I'm honestly perplexed by your reasoning.
My apologies for not being more clear. I didn't mean to imply that your choice of the word "colorful" had any connection to race or skin color. I was using your words (along with "brawl") to demonstrate that you are intentionally making what you consider to be inflammatory comments on the board. I was merely trying to figure out why you started such a ridiculous thread. The racial angle popped out at me because everyone on your list is Black and I was simply pointing out the biggest firestorm I could see in response. Again, what was the "brawl" you were expecting and why? What was the original thought that prompted you to start this thread? Those are the two central questions I was attempting to ask.

What I found shameful was lighting the board up intentionally and looking for fights. Then you come back at everyone with this victim mentality and are forced to defend yourself against the "woke mob" you are surrounded by. Why do you act surprised or become defensive when your behavior is intentional and the reaction is expected?
