Treatment of Ben: fair, unfair or about right?

It would not be near the story if he had only the one accusation. But two really raises the questions.

But imagine how many encounters the average rich male athlete has with women. Often, there's going to be alcohol (or worse) involved. Le'Veon Bell has had many stories about all the women he sleeps around with. All it takes is for any one of those women to make some kind of accusation that he did something inappropriate and then a reputation is ruined.

Although I think he was falsely accuse of assault twice, Ben brought it on himself. The second one was a major wakeup call in his life. He can probably be both remorseful and thankful for it. He was on a bad path at the time.

I donÂ’t know what happened only two people know. But just as people say, she should not have gone into that closet if she didnÂ’t want it, HE should have not gone into that closet if he did not want THIS to happen.

Actions have consequences people. Whether he raped her or not his unwise choices created the atmosphere where many believe the accuser.

If I saw a mainstream article that called Ben a rapist, I’d say that was not fair, he was not convicted nor even charged.

But alluding to his history of poor choices as described in the original post here:

All options are open to Ben. He hasn't lost any possibilities because of previous sexual assault allegations. Posters on other teams message board call him Rape-lis-berger. So what?

You can't stop that. But if he wants to be a commentator or go into any other kind of business, I'm sure he can do that.

The fact that you bring up Vicks history shows its fair game.

Some of you sound like you want Ben’s off field problems wiped from history.

No idea who this person is, never heard of them.

Ben has given his life to the Lord and will recieve riches far greater than the H.O.F. in Canton.

Our tresures here on Earth are for a second compared to eternity.

Ben has given speaches on how he has beaten alcohol and pornography. He is helping spread the word.

What is his argument against Ben being in the HOF exactly? I guess it comes down to what the criteria is exactly. I do think the bar is being lowered for the HOF like this year's class is pretty weak tbh (Bryant Young??), but I don't know what that has to do with Ben.

I think the HOF should adopt rules similar to the baseball HOF. IMHO the bar is too low and they are diluting the quality of the shrine.
