I only bring it up because nothing is mentioned about it, Browns fans don't care, even though the details are quite sordid.
Good for him. It's hard to get a good hummer nowadays.

He was young and single and allowed to go out and chase tail even though you have daughters. Get over yourself.

but sometimes it reads like people are justifying bad behavior by Ben in GA.

She wasn’t necessarily right but she still has rights.

For me, once you are accused you can’t put yourself in a position like Ben did in GA.

If he never went in that closet I doubt he gets accused. That was HIS fault, not hers.
Whether he committed sexual assault or not, Ben is definitely guilty of being stupid. Unfortunately he is not being accused of stupidity, it is being inferred that he is a rapist. While unfair, it is the result of stupidity.

I'd say Vick yes, Ray no. Some do get a pass, some do not. Kobe, as mentioned throughout the thread - pass. Ray gets a bad rap among some fans, but not the media, so not the NFL fanbase in general. Ben does not get a pass. Mike Vick gets no pass.

there's also the bettis BJ in a parking lot situation where he was, I believe, accused of sexual assault.

and he was on SNF for a few years.

looks like a smile and an 'Oh shucks smile' goes a long way with the media

I read that GBI report (i think that's what it was called)

the show entourage had an episode of what sort of went down here. she wanted to F**K a star.
when ben's attention turned away from her, she had to go overboard to regain his attention, away from the 'new' chick ben was talking too.
offering up a piece of ass was her ace up her sleeve over a phone number from that other girl.

once things didn't go as planned, she was hurt and embarrassed and tried to take ben down because of it

yeah.. and we all know how that ended.

Lmao at telling me to get over myself when Ben was the one with something to lose.

Given how it all played out I think you are the one who needs to get over yourself.

Ya but Ben was accused of rape, twice, I don't think that is in the same ball park as sending a picture of your junk and shouldn't be covered by the media as though they are on the same level.

He literally "brown nosed" her while others held her down. The Manning family paid off UT to make it go away.

2 accusations of sexual assault trumps damn near every one of these individual incidents.

When everyone you work for tells you to keep your nose clean and avoid another off-field scandal and you say “hold my beer” and go to a utility closet with a drunk college chick… yeah, the treatment is expected and fair IMO.

I always heard the story was she was bending down to treat Mannings foot and when she stood up he had his pants down and she got butt, balls and such on her face. He then joked and teased her about it for weeks but claimed he was mooning someone across the room when faced with “discipline”

                            UT paid 300K.

Then Manning put it in a book which violated the gag order. He paid again.

Then he discussed in an interview on ESPN and violated another gag order.. and paid again.

Never heard about anyone holding her down.

I might have gotten the last part wrong, but it sounds like he was sitting on her face.

A 1996 incident from Peyton Manning’s days at the University of Tennessee is back in the headlines again. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

"It was the gluteus maximus, the rectum, the testicles, and the area in between the testicles. And all that was on my face when I pushed him up and off. And it was like this and I pushed him up to get leverage, I took my head out to push him up and off."

I think the lesson here is that if you're rich and famous, you can get away with alot and people are going to rush to defend you. If you are a young girl, you start out as money grabbing scam artist whore whose word is worthless.
