it still would have been an over 50 yard FG in the snow/rain if mooth doesn't fumble.

but he also didn't reach the sideline to stop the clock, and i'm not sure he got a 1st down.

it was also 3rd down with 15 secs left and zero timeouts before that pass happened

how fitting would it have been to not get the FG try off because they ran out of time

I'm not downplaying the failure to execute and the mistakes, particularly the turnovers. That's obviously where the primary blame has to go.

Yet just as easily as saying the coaches put the team in position to win (didn't Detroit's coaches have their team in posiiton to win?), you could say the coaches didn't do enough to help us win a close game w/o our starting QB. What did they come up with to really boost our chances? I don't see it.
You didn't see the opportunities the Steelers had to win the game? Ok then.

I said the same thing on that series.... HOWEVER, I don't know that the passing was excessive given Najee had 26 carries. Given it was an overtime game, there were at least 2 "hurry up" drives, 50 isn't really over the top.

We're going to act like THEY didn't lose their starting RB, have a hurt QB and just assume injuries only impact the Steelers - because that fits the agenda.

Let's also pretend that Mason was on point all day... and that Boswell was guaranteed to match his career long in the sleet.

None of this removes the fact that Mason was REALLY bad. If you saw anything otherwise in Mason today, I'll never trust your perspective on a player again.
I think that may be the worst football game I’ve seen in a long time. Minus the first possession, Rudolph was awful. The defense took a break in the second and third quarters against the run. Special teams, except for Boz, remain “special”.

I’m not even going talk about OT. Two turnovers when we somehow managed to move the ball some. We could not get out of our own way.

A tie against an 0-8 team at home. That’s 4 hours of my life that I’ll never get back.

No. The Steeler team on the field today is a terrible team.

Considering the turnovers I am not shocked at the result.

people are acting like Muth's fumble *lost* the game... soo much had to happen there (i'm pretty sure the lions took over with 8 seconds)... it sucked but so much had to happen at that point to even GET a FG off, nevermind actually making the damn thing from 50+

it was BAD. I was actually surprised Haskins didn't get a shot at some point. I only hope that the team now sees that Mason is NOT the answer, unless they want an occasional 5-12 season.

                      who is at fault there??
I'd imagine that decision got made by the owner and Ben.

Don't worry though, I won't hold my breath wondering who's fault you think anything is.

Tomlin has final say on every roster spot. Ben has none. Don't understand your post at all.
Rooneys have always been hands off on personnel decisions.

wait, its Ben's fault they traded a future 1st before he even had surgery on the arm (iirc they waited a month to let the swelling go down)

                          is that what your saying?

you were not in favor of that trade. correct? why are you reversing your take on it?

He didn't lose the game but he did cough up an opportunity to possibly win it. I thought he did a bad job turning it up the field and trying to run that guy over, he should have been trying to get out of bounds.

3 different posters and none mention the GM for who is on the roster?

What exactly does Colbert get paid to do?
