lack of Football IQ on this team...careless with the ball, not getting to the sticks on 3rd and short routes. going backwards and catch only to lose yardage when all you need is an extra yard (or two). This was a chance to be in first place after having a major collapse.

Perhaps Mason sucked, but Diontae Johnson is a moron. Hold onto the damn ball. ( It was actually a good punch out...I am just pissed off).

Yep, several folks on here said they thought we should've cut Ben loose and gone with Rudolph as starter this season

In fairness, Rudolph might well have won the game had Johnson and Muth not fumbled it away

I was told pregame here that Rudolph is really good. Remember that time he threw for like 300 yards against the Browns or something? No way that was a fluke. Mason has good awareness and a great arm.

because he sucked. Even many of the catches were bad passes. Most of the deep balls were underthrown. His ineffectiveness is why the other plays even mattered. You faced an 0-8 team, who has a QB battling injuries and went to OT.

Did Diontae fumble? Yup... after he made a great catch on another poorly thrown ball.

Did Muth fumble? Yup... on a play that IF the team was able to line up and spike in 8 seconds (not sure they would have been able to) would have left a 55 yarder in bad conditions in one of the hardest places to kick a FG.

Neither play holds a candle to how poorly Mason played.
