Was an interesting stat. Arizona is now 10-3 after last night. 7-0 on the road, a .500 team at home. Forget the numbers of turnovers, but the team takes the ball away a ton on the road and barely at home.Comment

Probably mutual. I mean, we signed Snell and McFarland and we abandoned the run in 2020.
Maybe it was just time for a change of scenery.
Also, I heard no other team showed interest until AZ and he signed for peanuts. I think this was his chance to start over and prove himself.
Don't get me wrong, it's great to have a stud at RB. But, not having anyone behind him that could carry a team, that's a problem.2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment

I think their scheme and skill positions are great but is their OL really that good?
From what I see its mostly spreading teams out, even at the GL and guys are making plays in space.
I like it too… I hate bunch formations and having a defense all crammed together so its easy to stop the run.Steelers 27

Winner. Tomlin is a dinosaur in this regard, putting all your eggs in one basket re: RBs is outdated. Heck, even the 70s Steelers spread the wealth with Rocky.Comment

Because folks in Steeler land was saying he's washed. Blaming him entirely for the running game problems. Now we all see who the real culprit is.Comment

Two of those are close losses to GB and LAR, the other was with Colt McCoy and Chris Streveler at QB.Comment

We also said the OC abandoned the run. There were people who used actual stats to show that we could run last year, we just decided not to after seeing a few plays for no gains.
Lastly, there was a highlight reel of missed holes by Conner, McFarland and Snail that showed it wasn’t always the OL’s fault when it came to the running game.Last edited by feltdizz; 12-15-2021, 04:42 PM.Steelers 27

And I don't think anyone accused our OL of being good at run blocking since JCs good year.Comment

during offseason on here videos were posted of how dotson played.
the size of some of the holes connor missed were laughable. like a 10 foot wide hole on 1 play.
being healthy doesn't make up for the vision a RB hasComment

I wonder if this is due to poor OL play in general. Like how that's part of the reason Ben throws quickly even when he doesn't necessarily need to.Comment

Every RB misses a big hole at times...don't recall that happening with Conner real often, and i watched most of his games at Pitt too. The one year Conner was completely healthy he was killer. He was getting over 100 yards rushing and over 50 receiving most games.Comment

Well, Conner's seems to be finding holes in AZ. Get's he must have gotten glasses in the off-season.Comment

Conner was well-liked by most, it was just frustrating that he couldn't stay healthy.
and plenty of people here criticized the OL, but I guess that doesn't fit your narrative.Comment
