Connor was a good player for the Steelers. Connor probably received more money to play for the Cardinals than the Steelers offered.

Connor could easily return to the Steelers next season as a quality back up. The Steelers liked him but business is business. We shall see.

Nah. He'd be stuck on the bench here, because we really only use one RB, and that would be Harris. And then we'd probably have to trade him, because, you know, the hostage thing.

Connor has been eating all season, line or no line. He should have been stopped on both TD runs tonight, but broke tackles instead.

You can tell Conner did a lot of work on his body in the offseason. IMO he looks lighter, quicker but still has the downhill, tough RB mentality.

Being healthy for the first time in years also helps.

And he's become a pass catcher over night. Fancy that!

Playing with Murray at QB and Conner at RB is like having a two back offense. Murray is a threat to run on any down. That's harder to defense than having a phone booth at QB.

                    especially in a PPR league.

his 13 rushes for 31 yds aren't impressive, but the 2 TDs and 8 catches for 85 more yds would get you over 30 fantasy points.

Right, which is why taking a RB in round 1 to "fix the run game" was a laughable decision by the Steelers. RBs need sooooo much else to go right before they can effectively do their job, and the Steelers currently do none of those things.

and somehow Najee is still going to have a pretty good season for a rookie.

What did AZ do to “fix” their running game? I don’t believe they drafted OL early and often.

If we had the luxury of drafting a QB number 1 overall after drafting a QB at 10 the previous season we would probably have a totally different way of building our team.

I do give AZ credit for fleecing the Texans when they had that idiot OBrien who gave Hopkins away for a bag of popcorn.

Surprised to see Beachum on their OL. Another Steeler let go.

They invested in QB and WRs who open up the offense. The Steelers need 1) OL, 2) Franchise QB who can threaten downfield, 3) WR who can threaten downfield, 4) D that doesn't put them in big holes so they have to abandon the run

Crap, get 1) and 2) at least before you invest a first round pick on a RB.

Re: Najee having a good season, he's accumulating stats on sheer volume, and the team is in 4th place in a mediocre division.

not sure what your point is..

this wasn’t going to get fixed in one offseason.

we are still somehow in the hunt because there are a lot of “mediocre” teams in the NFL this year.

I love when a team finally puts it all together after 5 years of missing the playoffs and fans of other teams envy their team structure. Are these fans willing to endure a 3-13 season to have a shot at building a team like AZ or Cincinnati?

While some will say yes.. I think this place would crash and burn from the hot takes if we had a few AZ years to rebuild.
