Well, using that logic it sure makes it easy to say coaches with zero Super Bowls and a lot less regular season wins are superior to Tomlin. How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

Are we really going to pretend that the franchise that has spent this entire generation cheating is not actually paying their QB in other ways? I have very little doubt that Brady has earned market value while in New England.Comment

I’m sure every franchise has the ability to pay players under the table, and probably do.How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

But do you think Tampa also paid him under the table?Steelers 27

Screw the Pats. They will never be great in my book. IF your great, you don't get caught cheating multiple times.
** during deflate gate, it was never about deflating the ball for Brady; Bellichek deflated the ball so his runninbacks could hold on to the ball better. Guess who was the least fumbling team during those estimated 7 years of deflating the ball?? Exactly. F*ck them.Comment

Jerry Jones isnt as dumb as people think, with the cap set to really go up with alot of the new tv contracts and the potential of legalized sports betting, pay Dak big money now and front loading his contract may actually put the Cowboys in a good spot in a year or two.Comment

I have no doubt they were paying him under the table in some way, shape or form. We won't here about it until 20 years after Hoody retires. That's how it usually is. That' s why I pay little regard to Teddy Bruschi and the like on these NFL shows. Their a bunch of cheaters. They sit there with their smug asse$ and no d@mn well that they knew the offensive plays of the other team the entire time.

An example of using the system to their advantage was what they did last season. I truly think that they encouraged players to sit out last season. They had what, 6 players sit out? No other team more than one or two. The year that Brady leaves they give players a year off and roll all of that cap space over to the year that the cap goes down and space is at a premium. Truly forward thinking and not outside of the rules, but I believe that if it was cheating they would have figured out a way to do it anyway.Comment

The Pats do whatever they can to game the system and get an edge. In some cases it is outside the box thinking to take advantage of loopholes, in others it is downright cheating. I don't think that they discern between the two.

But I do wonder about all the opt outs they had.
I'm kind of hoping that BB's "Patriot Way" won't hold up without the GOAT QB sitting in meeting taking as much crap as everyone else.
I think it's hard to rebel against the authoritarian coach when Brady is sitting with you 100% bought in.
I wonder if those guys just didn't want to put up with BB's sh!t in a year where they lost their all world QB and didn't have a great shot at winning. If that's the case, things could crumble over there with a couple of bad years (1 already in the books). But maybe I'm just being hopeful.Comment

I don't disagree that BB has super flexible morality.

I think Chris Long chose to leave because he didn't like the way they operated. Also remember a reporter saying after the SB win one year it was the most depressing locker room he had ever been in.Steelers 27
