He's not a " mobile " QB capable of running for yardage. Of course they really want Russell Wilson or Watson. Let these two GM QB's twist in the wind. I hope they do not get traded, but Wilson I think will.

Bottom line they really need a dynamic back for the easier throws both qb's can make. They might pick Harris or Etienne
    Fitzpatrick signed with Washington.

I see a lot of mocks with Harris or Etienne going to the Fins at #18.
I doubt Miami would sign Conner and think he was enough at RB.

or maybe they do have faith in Tua since they didn’t resign Fitz

The Steelers rank Najee Harris very highly and are considering him in the 1st round per @TonyPauline

If he's there at 24, I think he's the pick.

Most mocks that I’ve seen have him going before 24. It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

I honestly think the best thing for us to do is trade money ball wise to get 3 second round picks.

Possibilities, one of the top 3 RB, a really good ILB or CB, and of course a good OT/C.

Williams, Harris and your choice of 2
Davis ILB, Molden CB, maybe Moehrig ( slot, 3rd saftey, can move Edmunds as the new age ILB/S)
              Eichenburgh, Radnuz, Humphry, Meinerz
              Fairmouth

Your right... given everything now, your exactly right. I think great players will be there at #24 because so many QB’s will be taken a head of us. The opportunity will be there. But will Colbert do it???? That’s the question. Simple as that.

which is why Colbert will most likely stand pat and select one of those "great players" at 24,

Agreed, he will only trade back if nobody he loves is there. IMO if he likes someone but thinks that they will still be there 10 picks later, he would rather grab him at 24 than risk trading back and losing him. I believe that this is how Colbert approaches the draft.

I wouldn't mind this strategy if there are reasonable offers.

The 5th year option has value, but I think the new way of calculating the salaries makes the worth less than they used to be.

If someone is super in love with a guy and they make a great offer to move either down or out of the first round , I think he goes for it. I think this is the year IF .. the offer is good enough.

has Colbert ever moved back in the first round besides for Casey Hampton?

right. if they're guy is there, they usually just draft him. i'm sure they thought casey would be there 3 picks later, and they probably had another guy or 2 in mind just in case he did get drafted (pickett, brees, hutchinson etc)

i just ran a simulation and was offered a trade at 24 with harris still available.

now if offered something like this, I would def consider it.

crap, the website just reloaded on me.

any who, it had the titans giving up #55 and a late round 2021 pick, a 2nd and 3rd in 2022 for 24 and our 6th rounder

drafted williams and eichenberg in the 2nd round. OC, CB, TE with next 3 picks
