It happens every year. There is an abundance of "Fournette" level castaways to grab yourself one.

    Kinda makes my point.
and yet, our team thought connor, snell samuels was a good enough corps to field.

    what does that tell you?

Your spot on about that. Again, this leads to management decisions in regards to the running back position for the last few years

great backs? depends what you mean by great.

better then our backs? yeah there's 4 teams with better backs still playing trying to get to the superbowl.

              got a better question though.
are you really happy with the talent level in our backfield??

here's another one. how many rings do the guys with the talent level of connor, snell, Samuels have in the last 2 decades
or the jon dwyer and gary russells of the football world

I guess you're in favor of continuing the trend of drafting defense in the top 2 rounds like we have the last 6 years
(11 defense 3 offense) and continue to try fill the offense's weakness with late round picks

No. But the O-line has been terrible the last two years with Pouncey, Decastro looking like turnstiles. To properly evaluate a running game, you first must get they O-line together.

I get what your point is but I think the priority is the O-line first.

I’d love for them to go O-line , RB and O-line with the first 3 picks. And then defense the rest of the way. I’m in your camp but I just prioritize the line over the running back position.

yes, we do need to upgrade the OL too.

connor, snell and mcfarland? jeez, bama has more talent in the backfield then our unit
Both rb and oline need upgrades. My point is that the running back position is easily upgraded without using valuable premium picks.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

and you've seen what this staff has provided with later round selections at the position.
the last great back we've had was a mid 2nd rounder

we're drafting 24th overall, not top 10. how "premium" is #24 overall?
if there's a rb available with a higher grade then an offensive lineman, they should draft him

i want either, ILB Collins or Harris in 1st, if not trade back... this 2nd is going to be deep at what we want...OT, C, RB... and with new franchise policy the 5th year tag might of lost its worth.

Najee Harris in the first round and Josh Myers in the second. That would be an instant upgrade to our most pressing needs.

exactly.. a late first round pick should go BPA.

There will be great running backs available after the first round. There always is now.
