He is the anti-Conner, anti-Snell... he decisive, moves north-south, cuts and oh my those hands...

The Steelers had a a good fit with Bell in the Steelers offense. Unfortunately, Bell had other plans. A good/great RB can make a difference at the right price.
No. Those are GREAT backs. Good backs are a dime a dozen and don't require a 1st round pick.

a good back with a great oline > a great back with a bad oline. Just ask Leveon - (he's the former, not the latter)

I think Snell is like this too FWIW.

It's just this year it was hard for him not to run into our own linemen 2 yards behind the LOS. At least that's how it felt to me when watching games. So many times running into our own guys behind the line.

I thought Harris looked a little slow to me.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Ray Fittipaldo's end of season report card:

Running backs: Ball placement was an issue all season no matter who was toting the ball. Time to draft a back that can thrive in the new offensive system. Grade: D

STEELERS’ END-OF-SEASON REPORT CARD Quarterback: Ben Roethlisberger threw just three interceptions in the first nine games of the season, but he...

Mock draft predicts Steelers take Clemson RB Travis Etienne

Everyone who watched Alabama’s Heisman winner DeVonta Smith torch Ohio State for 215 yards and three touchdowns in the first half of the national championship game came away with the same conclusion: Smith is really good. In fact, most would expect the talented, record-breaking Smith to be the first wide

2021 NFL Draft Player Profiles: Alabama RB Najee Harris

From now until the 2021 NFL Draft takes place, we hope to showcase as many prospects as possible and examine both their strengths and weaknesses. Most of these profiles will feature individuals that the Pittsburgh Steelers are likely to have an interest in, while a few others will be top-ranked players. If there is a […]

Exactly. Question, how many "great backs" have rings in the last two decades?

As I said before, I'm good with a back if there is a HUGE disparity in talent. Otherwise at least 2 olinemen first for me.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

4 teams left in the playoffs starting today.

tampa - rolald jones 2nd rd pick. also brought in a former #4 pick overall in fornette

GB - with already having one of the better backs in the league last year in aaron jones, used a 2nd round pick on AJ dillon

chiefs - used a first round pick on CEH, picked up former all pro leveon bell after he was released by the jets

                          Or put more correctly...
One first round pick on a team that has already proven they didn't need him to win a championship?

When we are so great we get to draft last because we just won the SB, sure draft a back. Icing on a championship level cake.

                          Lev, and Fournette? Really?

You do realize they were available to ANY TEAM IN THE League for a ham sandwich and a diet coke.

It happens every year. There is an abundance of "Fournette" level castaways to grab yourself one.

                          Kinda makes my point.

im comparing the level of talent at the position to what we have.

each already had more talent in the backfield then us and still added to that area

connor, snell and mcfarland? jeez, bama has more talent in the backfield then our unit

a cast off?? um no somone like darius heyward bay who was once a high pick and bounces from team to team is a castoff

you do know fornette rushed for 1100 yards last season, right?.
