Next year we probably won't have an oline that's any good, we won't have a good RB, and we probably won't have a tight end worth throwing to.

That doesn't seem like a great situation for a rookie QB.

Probably better to try to fill the other holes this draft and have a competition between MR and someone off the scrap heap.

Your contention is not at all true.

Most who support Tomlin always gives credit to the GM for player acquisition. Many (myself for example) have said to the extent Tomlin influences those choices he deserves blame.
