I personally believe that rescinding Bell's franchise tag would be a very bad idea. Leave'on is gonna go all out to have a great season so he can reset the RB market in free agency, why not run the wheels off him for one more year?

There is no reason to rescinding his tag other than spite, what the hell would rescinding his tag do to help the team?

I wish you guys would stop quoting this clowns posts.
Hard to keep him ignored, but i see things havn't changed with his name calling...
Same clown that argued with me a few years back when i said Bell was more important to lock up long term than AB was.
Also told me Mitchell wasn't the problem on defense and he wouldn't be cut...LOL

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Tom Brady threw for 500+ yards in the SB and lost...was Philly’s D “on point”?
No.....but it was the best QB in history who dropped 33 on them,

Speaking of points, what is yours, again? You’re meandering...
              I don't "meander".
Just try paying attention instead of arguing as a knee jerk reaction to my every post. You often don't actually reply to what I say.

Example above.....what the Eagles did has nothing whatsoever to do with our defense.

Try pretending I'm Dizz arguing in favor of signing Bell. You might just remember you AGREE with me on this thread.

The point is we scored 42 points on the Jags and they spend more on defense.

jags 16.8 points per game and 286 yards per game, #2 total defense

Steelers 19.2 points per game 306 yards per game, #5 total defense

YOU said that defenses that are ON POINT win Super Bowls...

I merely pointed out that the Eagles defense was far from “on point”, and yet they hoisted the Lombardi...

Pittsburgh Steelers running back trio ranked third best in the NFL

The trio of Bell, Conner and rookie Samuels is a top tier unit according to ESPN Insiders.

                      Jul 22, 2018, 2:59pm EDT

There is no questioning what kind of player Le’Veon Bell is for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is dynamic as they come, and makes up one of the most versatile players in the entire NFL. If any media outlet were to rank the top running backs in the game, Bell would be at the top, or near it.

However, what about the Steelers’ entire running back corps? Where would their top three backs rank among the rest of the league?

This is exactly what ESPN did with an Insiders article as they ranked all NFL running back trios. For the black-and-gold, the trio consisted of Bell, James Conner and rookie Jaylen Samuels.

But first, take a look at the top 10:

                      1. New Orleans Saints
Top three backs: Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram, Terrance West
                      2. Los Angeles Rams
Top three backs: Todd Gurley II, John Kelly, Malcolm Brown
                      3. Pittsburgh Steelers
Top three backs: Le’Veon Bell, James Conner, Jaylen Samuels

Projected unit stats: 379 carries, 1,610 yards, 12 TDs; 88 receptions, 704 yards, 3 TDs

Outlook: Bell is the ultimate workhorse. Counting only the weeks he was active over the past two seasons, he was on the field for 92 percent of the Steelers’ snaps, ran a route on 85 percent of the pass plays and was responsible for 82 percent of the designed runs and 20 percent of the targets. Last season, Bell easily paced the position in carries (321), rushing yards (1,291) and receptions (85). Assuming his holdout ends prior to Week 1, Bell will be a good bet to eclipse 1,200 scrimmage yards for the fifth time in six seasons. Second-year back Conner and rookie H-back Samuels will pick up the scraps.

                      4. Atlanta Falcons
Top three backs: Devonta Freeman, Tevin Coleman, Ito Smith
                      5. Dallas Cowboys
Top three backs: Ezekiel Elliott, Tavon Austin, Rod Smith
                      6. Arizona Cardinals
Top three backs: David Johnson, Chase Edmonds, T.J. Logan
                      7. Tennessee Titans
Top three backs: Derrick Henry, Dion Lewis, Akrum Wadley
                      8. Cleveland Browns
Top three backs: Duke Johnson Jr., Nick Chubb, Carlos Hyde
                      9. Kansas City Chiefs
Top three backs: Kareem Hunt, Spencer Ware, Damien Williams
                      10. New England Patriots
Top three backs: Sony Michel, James White, Rex Burkhead

So, what do you think of these rankings? Do you agree with the unproven talent of Conner and Samuels being enough to catapult the Steelers’ trio the the No. 3 spot? Or do you think they should be even higher?

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

                        Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest...

Rescinding Bell's franchise tag would be dumb.

Signing Bell to a huge contact with 45-50 million guaranteed would have been dumber.

Bell turning down the contract was dumbest.

                            Yeah, idk...

I just don't agree with signing someone that does have a drug and injury history, at 26.5 years old with a lot of wear and tear to 45-50 million guaranteed.

We'll see where the market goes. It just won't be Steelers setting that market price.
