3 former Ben Roethlisberger teammates Steelers should bring back for final Super Bowl run
1. Le'Veon Bell
We know, we know. The Steelers had a nasty divorce with running back Le'Veon Bell, which was exemplified by the running back sitting out for the entirety of the 2018 season due to a contract dispute. That resulted in Bell signing with the New York Jets in free agency in 2019, before getting released midway through the 2020 campaign to immediately sign on with the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, he is a free agent.
Bell, known to share his thoughts publicly, did so on Twitter this past spring. While Bell did point out that the Steelers "should have paid [him] what [he] wanted when they had the chance," he did note that the team that drafted him "gave [him] opportunity," unlike the Jets and Chiefs. By "opportunity," Bell meant more touches, especially in the 2017 season, where logged 321 carries through 15 games.
Look, we know the odds of this happening are rather slim, but wouldn't a reunion be cool?
The Steelers had one of the worst running games in the league last season, resulting in them moving on from James Conner this offseason to draft Najee Harris as his replacement. But adding Bell would give Pittsburgh an awesome one-two punch behind the line of scrimmage to help ease the pressure off Roethlisberger. Not only that, but Bell still is one of the better receiving backs in the league, which will be beneficial to the Steelers offense.

AFC North rival rumored to be considering former Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell

News came out Sunday that Pittsburgh Steelers’ rival Baltimore Ravens took a big blow to their running back position. J.K. Dobbins suffered a season-ending ACL tear in the Ravens preseason game against the Washington Football Team.
It’s been rumored that former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is among the candidates to replace Dobbins. This isn’t the first time he’s been linked to the Ravens, though.
Bell has never been the same running back since clawing his way out of Pittsburgh. In three seasons with two teams (Jets and Chiefs), Bell contributed just 1,716 yards from scrimmage.
Ravens’ Gus Edwards is likely to start with Justice Hill behind him — they averaged five yards per carry in 2020. But if Baltimore is looking for a third guy to throw into the mix, why not a former Pittsburgh Steelers back?

Bell is a washed up bum and we did the best thing in the world by not giving him that contract. Bell was a product of our O-Oline ( when it was at its peak) , a HOF QB and a HOF wide receiver ( Brown) . So much so, that when we put old Deangelo Williams back there, he put up best numbers in the NFL for that stint.
End of story. Bell looks better gone.Comment

Is Feltdizz STILL ballwashing Bell? This relationship between the two has become disturbing. Lol.

What I am looking forward to is seeing AV blocking Watt. AV has switched to the right side after having spent almost his entire career at LT. Unfortunately AV will have over three months to get ready before playing PIT.Comment

I think this could work well for us but AV may also know Watts tendencies since they are familiar with each other.Steelers 27

Aside from the fact that his game and skillset is much more suited for LT, he was already beginning to lose those skills the last couple of years, and has never been a guy who should line up on the right side. The only good thing about him playing on the right side is that he should have TE help to block an elite pass rusher like Watt, which makes Mark Andrews a highly paid blocker instead of pass catcher.Comment
