Whether you think he is great, sucks or in between, it is obvious that he isn't worth his contract. How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

And how was AB playing 1game(and produced well) and being paid for 1 game, not playing up to the value? How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

Ben has a better supporting cast so of course he won’t be bottom 1/4 but that was never the comparison being made by Burghsteel.
His point is when players don’t play up to their “paycheck” it isn’t proof they don’t deserve the money.Steelers 27

When did anyone say Ben had to have identical stats as Bell?

That's an opinion. The Steelers and the Jets thought he was worth the money. That's really all that matters. Bell and the Steelers would had continue to have success together if Bell stayed with the team. It's possible that the Steelers would had made the playoffs in 2018 and 2019 if Bell remained with the team.
The narrative that Bell simply sucks and wasn't worth the deal he received is tired and far from the truth. I believe that Bell is still a quality player that can produce at a high level. Maybe that coaching staff needs to figure out how to use Bell properly?
The Steelers and Bell loss "something" with his departure. I wish they could had worked out a deal. Business is business.Comment

I'm also guessing that the Steelers didn't offer to pay all of his contract when the Steelers inquired about him last season (according to bell).
I'm thinking the same about all the other teams too.
Im not sure, once again, where 13+ would have come from in 2018 and 2019.
His additional may have prevented us from having other quality players and not resulted in making the playoffs.
And for sure would keep us from tagging or signing a guy like Dupree this year. How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment
