Then again you were the one who used one stat to compare Rudolph and Ben’s rookie year.
and again... your lack of comprehensions and emotions have gotten the best of you.. my mentioning Rudolphs stats against Ben's was to suggest we shouldnt give up on the guy. Last time i reminded you of that ... you went silent. now you bring it up again because you are heated lol

nobodys disputing this... just saying he has outperformed an "Elite", "Once in a generation talent" "Immediate game changer for any team that signs him" blah blah blah. i think Eddie said it best a few posts ago. Those who continue to defend their former positions on Bell are embarassing themselves

Nobody thinks that Bell's production has been good, nobody is trying to paint Bell's stats as "good", what he is arguing against is that Bell's career is over or has fallen off a cliff nased on the stats. I agree with him, the Jets have a terrible oline and it obviously is hurting the performance of all parts of the offense. I have watched Bell in the games this year and physically he looks fantastic, I dont see this steep decline.

You were a Rudolph defender also at one point in time. I can pull it up for you if youd like.

I was a defender early on but he kept getting worse...

but I never defended this notion that he and Ben had rookie season stats that were similar.

Just as i was a defender early on.... and the stats were just that... MR and BR were very similar in Passer Rating and yards per game... when i made the post.

and i agree he kept getting worse. That whole made up arguement MR=BR was brought back up weeks later.. "Post concussion" slide.

I dont necessarily think Bell's career is over.. I do think his best days are behind him (as with most RBs with his wear and tear)...
I do think his supposed instant game changing ability for any team that picked him up... was a "Reach". I think the "Bell sweepstakes" was drastically overblown. I also think he cost himself a shot at the HOF by leaving Pitt...
Career over? It depends at this point in how bad he wants to play...and what hes willing to play for..

That’s like saying yesterday is proof you shouldn’t draft a QB with the first pick because Duck looked better than Murray.

Seriously. You can do this with ANY position where a guy making base salary has a good game or 2.

This obsession you guys have with the RB is hilarious.

Who have you heard in the AZ, Dallas, Rams and Jets orgs who has said this was a mistake? You are just making stuff up dude.
Can you tell me when an organization ever said publicly that they made a huge mistake signing a player?
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

We made the mistake signing Mongrief, the TE a few years back, Blount...

                            but verbally, no.

Which is my point. Why even say teams now realize their mistakes by signing these RB’s if none have made a move yet or said such a thing? Just projecting IMO.

Was that really a mistake? Or a move that just didn't pan-out? I think if Moncrief hadn't gotten injured, he could have had a solid season with us.

We will never know. Maybe it was the injury or maybe he just wasn’t what we thought.

Dude dropped a lot of passes and probably cost us a game in a short period of time.
