First year coach, fired the GM right before the season... I don’t think the first year is enough to claim victory.
same Jets team last year (4-12) averaged almost 4 ypc with their top 3 backs (powell, crowell, and mcguire).

Just realized Bell's latest performance came against the Giants (2 win team)... in a game they won and scored 34 points in. Might be time to cease with the excuses.

Different coaches. It’s not the same team.

        It’s never the same team.

Yea I know... you also pointed out to the GM being fired as a reason for Bell's failures this year.

You are reaching man. Bell has faded to irrelevance... its pretty pathetic, actually. I don't even know if he's in the top 30 in the league in rushing right now.

The countless hours and days you've spent on here defending Bell the last year + ..... is admirable..

But I think we are all seeing right now that he's not the "Elite, generational player" you said he was. In fact, it could be argued he was more of a product of the system than "Elite" talent.

I pointed it out as a reason for the teams failures.

It’s like trying to evaluate our WR’s with our QB situation right now.

Trying to plant a flag on Bell 8 or 9 games into his contract is comical.

If he is out of the league next year then sure, you guys were right.

If he comes back next year and has a good year then what?

Just silly to declare victory this early.

Like I told Captain, I could easily say I was right about worrying if JuJu was a true #1 based on this years stats.. but that wouldn’t be fair would it? Bell wasn’t signed to a 1 year contract.

Bell's stock is sinking faster than the titanic... but you, sir.. are dying a slow, miserable death in terms of "Bell denial"

                  We shall see.

It doesn’t cost me anything to wait a while.

Earlier this year people declared our season dead.

You can’t declare a career over after 9 games on a bad team.

you knew he was going to a bad team when you declared him an instant game changer. Somehow that didnt happen... and all of a sudden its everyone else's fault.. i guess time will tell, but youve been wrong thus far.

its kinda like that huge "Bell sweepstakes" that never happened.. being wrong isnt the end of the world man.. embrace it and move on

Bell knew he was on a downward trajectory. That's why he agreed to take the pay cut and play for a minor league team.

I don’t think he thought that at all. I think he accepted the Jets offer because nothing better came along.

but I do agree with oh wow that you have to give Bell some time. He hadn't played for almost 2 years and now he is playing on a team that isn't very talented. Bell can still return to the form he showed as a Steeler but he probably won't be as successful just because the jets aren't very good.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

                            but Go Steelers!!!

                                I agree with you wholeheartedly..

To hear Bell described on here (Elite, GOAT, Once in a generation type of player)... we should not be listening to excuses right now as to why he's not in the top 30 in the league in rushing... I don't care how bad the JETs are.
