Exactly........the post that Ghost put up that showed his conversation with Jets fans was classic.

          Hello,

I feel undervalued at work, despite their recent offer of a massive pay raise. I'd like to find a job with less money and for an organization that is perpetually non-competitive, bland and awash in mediocrity. Anyone know of any leads you could send me? Thanks in advance!

How is it devalued if Hurley makes 14 per and Bell makes 13 per?

            This makes no damn sense.

devalued in comparision to elite players at other positions... absolutely.

If he is injury prone doesn’t it make sense to take a contract with $35 fully guaranteed over 3 or 4 years?

It’s like you guys don’t understand what the word guaranteed means. LOL

Yet, we have seen the RB market explode the last 2 years with these new contracts.

It WAS devalued but the Gurley contract changed everything. We never used to see guaranteed money like this for RB’s spread over this many years.

That’s means it’s no longer devalued.

While he understands that his pursuit of a more lucrative deal may hurt his public appearance, Bell is determined to help his younger peers while improving the value of his position.
Bell has failed in all aspects of his mission but one. He gets more guaranteed money in year one. That's all he accomplished. Overall, he lost money with his tactic and did not reset the market for the RB position.

                      sure it is.
. when 90% of your RBs are making a fraction of what those guys are...

I thought Bell might/could reset the market with the biggest deal.
He did not and lost out of 14.5mil. That money has to factor in all this.
We will all see how it goes from here on out.
I think Gurley's lack of playoff performance hurt Bell's value or really CJ Anderson did with his playoff performance. I am sure Conner's season had an effect for some teams also.

but 90% of all positions make a fraction of what the highest players at their positions make.. lol.

Besides the starting QB position what other position has everyone making top money?

This convo has always been about the best players at their position and how much they make once they hit the market.

Gurley reset the market. No way to spin it.

The only thing that hurt him was not playing last year and maybe his weed incidents.

I know it’s hard to fathom but Bell didn’t really come out bad in this new contract once you break down the numbers.

I know Steeler fans need a win but the guaranteed money is legit.
