Yeah, I am more pissed that it IS the rule. I hate the current catch rules for this very reason. Any reasonable person who has never watched football would say that he caught the ball but the NFL is not OK with that. They decide to make it 20 times more complicated.Comment

Tomlin had 4th and 1 and you are going to give the call to Brady with 2 minutes to go? Tomlin continues to be dumb as hell in the most crucial of moments. And Ben too with his no spiking the ball @ss.Comment

I know everyone here is a homer (including me), but I really want to know what the correct ruling is. SteelCrazy I think has the explanation that at least explains the call. I also agree with the idea that Jesse James really has no reason to bobble there, and should feel blame on his part. You weren't touched... there really isn't a reason for his clumsy ass to bobble there anyway.
As for goats, SEAN DAVIS is an absolute Tim McKyer level bum. I swear, this guy sucks. Getting beaten by Gronk is one thing... dropping a sure interception, and whatever he calls that jam on the 2-point conversion are completely another. He is a POS.
Lastly, Haley should get blame for the 3 and out at the end there. We've had no 3 and outs, one first down really ices the game, and he proceeds to: run Bell, throw a 2 yard pass to Juju, and whatever he did on 2nd down. On a minor level, I also will blame Ben for trying to be too cute there at the end. Yes, you saw Dan Marino's fake-spike, we get it. But you could have just thrown it away, and still had another chance at it (I think). Instead, he tries to jam it in there.I wasn't hired for my disposition.Comment

The James call was as bad as the Troy INT call in the Colts playoff game. The James play should had ended once he crossed the goal line. James caught the ball and made a "football move" to cross the plane of the goal line.Comment

Yep. The ref at the goal line made that call. New York said, “No.”Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.Comment

pleae show us the angle that CLEARLY shows the ball hitting the ground that NEW York got to see to overturn the call on the field................thats all we ask.Mike Pereira

@MikePereira
Look, here is the rule. If you’re going to the ground you have to hold onto the ball when the ball hits the ground…Going to the ground trumps lunging/reaching to try and get extra yards or score a TD. You do that at your own risk. It’s incomplete…just ask Dezsteelers = 3 ring circus with tomlin being the head clownComment

uhh... it was a downpour. So holding onto a football wasn't the easiest thing to do this game. But, yeah, JJ needs to hold on.I know everyone here is a homer (including me), but I really want to know what the correct ruling is. Thank you. Last week in the Carolina game , Johnathan Stewart reach over the plan and had the ball slapoed out his hand but because he broke the plan, they said it was a TD .
Jj broke the plan with a football move before a question of any control should be asked.
We got robbed.Comment

That is a fumble rule. Not a catch rule.Thank you. Last week in the Carolina game , Johnathan Stewart reach over the plan and had the ball slapoed out his hand but because he broke the plan, they said it was a TD .

Here it is:If JJ had possession and a defender slapped it away, it would have been a TD.Item 3. End Zone Catches. The requirements for a catch in the end zone are the same as the requirements for a catch in the field of play.
Note: In the field of play, if a catch of a forward pass has been completed, after which contact by a defender causes the ball to become loose before the runner is down by contact, it is a fumble, and the ball remains alive. In the end zone, the same action is a touchdown, since the receiver completed the catch beyond the goal line prior to the loss of possession, and the ball is dead when the catch is completed.Comment
