Sorry, DL, I don't care what a former long snapper says about where guys should be drafted. We lost a great ILB and our depth there sucks. No excuse to not address that in the first 6 rds esp. when you have a guy like BB there.

I hear ya. A LS? Really? Maybe they feel ILB has enough depth. What about Akil Blount. He's a ILB prospect with freakish athleticism. I'm curious to see how he performs in training camp.

Remember when our LS was hurt and our "backup LS" was James Harrison -- and the ball was overshot? You need a really, really good LS or you're screwed. Maybe there wasn't much out there this year so they grabbed him now. I get it.

LOL Okay now there definitely is nobody who can defend this pick. Sorry fans but I just checked and the highest this guy was rated was like the 450th player. He was considered a free agent signing guy, and not even a priority free agent. I mean it's the late 6th round so...maybe none of us can get too upset. But finding a LS is about as hard as finding a Smoker in a AA Meeting.

We do have depth at ILB...and the chance of a 6th round pick beating any of those players is minuscule...

a good long snapper is critical. if the steelers think we need to consider a replacement for warren (who's been there since cowher I believe) than go for it. for the life of me, I don't see the difference between taking a LB in the sixth round and signing a LS free agent or taking a long snapper in the 6th round and signing a LB free agent........

trust me guys, the steelers will have absolutely as many players in latrobe to start camp as the rules allow.
