In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

LOL Okay now there definitely is nobody who can defend this pick. Sorry fans but I just checked and the highest this guy was rated was like the 450th player. He was considered a free agent signing guy, and not even a priority free agent. I mean it's the late 6th round so...maybe none of us can get too upset. But finding a LS is about as hard as finding a Smoker in a AA Meeting.

6th round. I'll get over it. The ageless one Greg Warren won't last forever.

How do you not take Ben Boulware there? Or any ILB?

Remember when our LS was hurt and our "backup LS" was James Harrison -- and the ball was overshot? You need a really, really good LS or you're screwed. Maybe there wasn't much out there this year so they grabbed him now. I get it.

Highest rated long snapper in the ACC this year. The kid can snap some serious ball.

He's a REALLY good long snapper. He is. VERY precise. He's Warren all over again.

But, even the Louisville alum (me) wouldn't have taken him there...

                expected ILB, TE or D-line

Once again, I am completely 100 %....Wrong with my above statement. Below is a link to a man who is an EXPERT in working with college LS. Read his report.

One more thing of note. I believe there was only one long snapper invited to combine this year. We just drafted him

Sorry, DL, I don't care what a former long snapper says about where guys should be drafted. We lost a great ILB and our depth there sucks. No excuse to not address that in the first 6 rds esp. when you have a guy like BB there.

and Warren gets hurt and we end up with a second-rate LS and lose a game or two from it. If they felt it was the thing to do, I'm for it. I can't believe some of the draft scout "pros" we have here in the forum. LOLOLOL

Anyone can get hurt. We aren't going to waste a spot for a second long snapper, and we aren't going to "stash" him on the PS.
