Your "8-8 is good enough" schtick is approaching Oviedo-Jarvis levels...
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Lets be fair Ruthless. He would have to drone on that topic every day for the next 4 years to even approach that kind of horse beating.

Heck, I didn't think Ovie-Jarvis would come close to approaching the level of the Ovie-LeBeau obsession, but he proved me wrong, so I won't underestimate such things again.

I don't really care if the Steelers sign a backup QB or draft a mid-round guy. It's unlikely that you develop an eventual replacement for Ben.

I'd rather see a few very strong players added than a bunch of bodies.
Do they really love Mitchell? In 8 yrs he has 10 Ints. The Steelers need a guy that can make plays on the ball. From what Mitchell has shown so far, he is good at making plays on the man. He frequently plays so far off that he has no chance at making a play on the ball. I don't think they necessarily need another Polamalu but even getting halfway there would be an upgrade.

In Polamalu's first 8 years he had 27 Ints!

That's funny, because you are the only one who is saying that over and over and over again, thinking such sarcasm is somehow clever.

Unfortunately, you're probably right ... puts a big hurt on the teams' chances of getting past the Patriots and into a Super Bowl, IMO.

Mitchell is average. Just because there is dead money doesnt mean they dont draft a FS. I'm fairly sure they will.

Yup, there is no reason why a great FS prospect couldn't get on the field while we let Mitchell serve out his deal. Most of the time, NFL teams play nickel and dime coverages, which basically means there are 5-6 contributors back there. You do have to have a guy that can move and cover though, because Mitchell can't cover for sh1t.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

Obsession is an expression of love.

But lets be honest in neither case was I wrong? The front office saw the same things I saw and got rid of LeBeau because they knew he couldn't/wouldn't make it better. Is there really any contention on whether was right about Jarvis from early on?

Never under estimate my ability be right again

yes you were wrong. You were right about Jarvis but wrong to repeat it in every thread and derail topics about other players to stroke yourself.

How much credit do you need in order to stfu.

can we mail you a ribbon? I can make a banner for a sig if it you need it? Your back has to be sore from bending over backwards to pat yourself on the back.
