    You Are the Offensive Coordinator...

What do you draw up for Sunday's game, with a limited Ben, and likely no AB or DeAngelo?

Gotta be Michael Vick running the wild cat or Earl taking snaps under center. Otherwise it's hopeless

I have no doubt A.B. will be playing.
However Vick is my backup for this game and I'm giving him a ton of reps along with Jones while Ben rests his shoulder.

      I would prepare without Williams.

Landry is still my back up...

and I'm running the same damn offense like Ben, Bell, and Brown are playing at 100%.

Todman and Toussaint impressed last game. Both are slfaster and shiftier than I imagined. If AB can't go Wheaton plays in his spot and I still use Bryant to blow off the top even if Ben can't make that throw. I would call a long pass on 1st down on the 1st possession since Ben is prolly going to get a shot. Then I bluff the rest of the game while throwing crossing routes underneath.

Landry is the backup...better passer, vick likes to hit stationary targets. Outs, come backs, curls, ect. Pick city against a defense like denver. Our WRs need to always be on the move to be effective, jones is the better choice for timing throws.

pretty sure Landry got more reps this week just in case.

If it's Landry I develop a game plan of short passes designed for RAC. I was really impressed with both T & T as RBs, go back and look at Toussaint's catch on the very last drive. Dude did a complete 360, caught the ball, got the 1st down and had the wherewithal to get out of bounds. The most important player or coach for Sunday is Haley. If he develops the correct game plan and calls we have a chance against Peyton Unitas.

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

If Ben and AB are out...this team is done. Come on. Landry Jones? The guy is a bum.

If I was the offensive coordinator, I coordinate with the defensive coordinator, and tell that s.o.b. to draw up a game plan that doesn't let the other team score.

Seriously though, with a limited Ben and no AB, I don't see the Steelers scoring a lot of points. I think the D is going to have to score some points or pitch a shut out to win this one.

Start Jones and keep Ben rested unless you need him....If we are doing fine without then why stress his shoulder when we would need it for KC....

I'm glad some of you don't play that's for sure, so the Steelers might be missing some key players that doesn't mean to pack it in, WTH is that? If Ben can't go or is limited you create a game plan working with what you do have at your disposal. Landry Jones has proven that he can play, he simply isn't consistent and hasn't had enough experience IMO. All is not lost if Jones has to play, he's capable, but Haley will have to put him position to succeed. Me, I would spoon feed him easy throws for 2 or 3 drives to get his confidence up and prove to himself that he can handle the offense, a punt isn't a bad play.

You try and keep him ahead of the sticks, penalties (even 5 yarders) are killers, if he gets to 3rd and long (10 or more), take what you can get, maybe your guy breaks a tackle for a 1st, if he doesn't then punt. The Steelers will have to lean on the defense a bit in this game. Manning is immobile and his arm isn't as strong as it used to be, however, he will be the smartest football player on the field. As the game moves forward you give Jones more of the play book as he gets comfortable (if he gets comfortable). Basically, manage the game and get to the 4th quarter with a close game, then anything can happen.

Giving up isn't a game plan.

I couldn't agree more, this game is still very winnable.

On Topic - what do i do? First, Ben, i expect to play. while I'm hoping AB is cleared, it isn't up to him... it's NFL protocol

Having said that, remember the plays we all hated a couple of years ago when Haley was really trying to keep Ben upright. I'd used that section of the playbook and keep Ben upright.

quick passes, just get 3-5 yards and hope a WR breaks one... It's what Brady/Manning does to us to neutralize OUR rushers/blitz. Denver has great pass rushers. wouldn't want Ben getting hit unnecessarily.

If our D gives Manning happy feet, especially if we see him in his old role of Fetal Position Payton, we are winning this game.

With, of course, the excellent game plan as outlined by Butterfly Steeler. The only thing I would add is throw some long bombs, *on the sideline* not the middle of the field, to get some PI calls.

Then I hope NE beats KC on some fluke, because I would rather face Marcia Brady without an O-line, than the A Smith-led offense we've seen for the last month or so.
