Right, he's only wasted two draft picks on midgets who can't contribute, while the defense was falling apart.

If you think a fifth round pick in 2012 would have "saved the defense from falling apart", you are delusional.

Last year, the Steelers spent both their first and second round picks on defensive players. Is the defense falling apart now?
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

You apparently know all about the inner workings of Tomlin and his players bonding over Wu Tang Clan lyrics, though...
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I doubt the Pats would pick him up.

The Pats had Jeff Demps for a while - another pure speed guy. Couldn't make the team.

Still not sure why not DeAnthony Thomas in that draft? If your'e gonna get a "speed guy", get one who succeeded in major conference... Don't see the Chiefs cutting him any time soon - in fact, they're saying, "we gotta get him the ball more"... ok, i'm done...

Archers speed was intriguing.....especially in Haleys system. It failed. We've moved on and replaced him with a veteran.

However I feel like he was misued in our offense and above all else our running back situation had been stacked. Haley has always had a back like Archer
Rainey showed glimpses of ability... and I think he could still be in the league if not for what a d!ck off the field he is.

Archer never showed one good thing that I could recall.

It was a gamble. It turned out to be a bad one, but you can't be result-oriented here. If he turned out to be Dante Hall, no one would be saying sh!t right now.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

yeah, if only there was evidence of him being 'one of the boys' i.e. knows the latest rap songs and dances...hmmm...

Damn that was fun. Actual evidence backing up my opinion instead of blind fanboy defense mode based on melanin content

Why can't we be results oriented? This is a results oriented business. The secondary stinks and they picked a gimmick player on a wing and a prayer in the 3rd round.

Because that's just second guessing. You are certainly permitted to do that on a message board, but you should call it what it is.

I never understood the pick. Even by my relatively uninformed draft standards, I could tell it was dumb. And it was strange to see how many here seemed to like it, until I learned that's just how some of us react to everything. Were the Steelers really thinking they could get a Sproles type guy? Archer was just a Gaedel all the way.

its not second guessing when you say it was a wasted pick seconds after he was drafted
the ones that say it was second guessing were the ones jumping for declaring the pick to be a steal and a great pick
