      Excited about the pick for sure...he was a guy that I wanted a month or so ago, but once the Gregory and Ray news came out, everyone assumed that Bud would vault from the middle portion of round 1 up into the top 10 to a team that originally wanted Gregory or Ray there previously. I'm shocked that the pass rush starved Bengals passed on him one pick ahead of us. Here's to Bud Dupree beating up on Cedric Ogbuehi for years to come!

        I'm not unhappy with the pick - but the fact that once again the steelers feel the need to draft a player to help generate a pass rush is troubling. I agree that lack of QB pressure has been our largest weakness and needed to again be addressed - but how many #1's is it going to take?

        Maybe this will be the guy.

            He's raw, but most had him projected in the top 10. That falls pretty squarely into BPA.

                    Love the pick...called for it in a post early on. Was scared it was gonna be Ray (Jarvis 2.0) & we'd end up with with two undersized LBs. Dupree is an athletic freak & a good kid to boot, he'll work hard & fit right in.

                      Worilds retired this year and Harrison will retire next year. It was pretty obvious that we needed more young talented blood at OLB for the future. For this season, I look forward to Jarvis and Deebo splitting time on the weak side and Moats and Bud splitting time on the strong side.

                        Gregory is light in the pants has issues so could bust out. Ray IF the toe heals and he can put down the bong he could be a monster. We will see for all 3 in about 3 yrs.

                          check out any draft big board after the season ended, before the combine and pro days, and tell me how m,any times dupree was listed as a better PLAYER than ray or gregory. plus many others at other positions.

                            Jarvis Jones was the first OLB/pass rusher we've used a number 1 on ever..or as far back as I care to try and remember. So one other #1 on a pass rusher who still might develop. I just...

                              So you are now complaining that we didn't take the OLBs with red flags for drugs that you have already stated that you didn't want? Which is it?

                                He split time between LDE and LOLB with 15 starts at the latter position. The 2 biggest holes that we have on defense are at corner and LOLB. This guy seems to be a perfect fit at a spot where we have no starter-quality talent. Rotate him and Moates on the left and Harrison and Jones predominately on the right...I like it. I admit to wanting Ray, but in hindsight, I think Dupree is just a better fit.
