Dri was drafted to be a gimmick player-return guy. He was a complete failure at both of those things last season. I dont see how being last years 3rd round pick guarantees him a spot on this roster if this remains the case.

Nobody is arguing with you.
It is just not a foregone conclusion...Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.Comment

Wait, you really expected to see everything you saw in his college film when he was playing in a mid major conference? Really?
All the players say the game slows down the longer you play it.
There comes a time when you have to step back and listen to the coaches and what they are saying about Dri.
There is no way we cut a 3rd rounder with that type of speed. He will get another year or 2 before we move on.Steelers 27

No I expected to see exactly what I saw last year. Speed means nothing if thats all you have. His speed might have been enough to get him by at Kent. Its not in the NFL.Wait, you really expected to see everything you saw in his college film when he was playing in a mid major conference? Really?

Well, thank goodness we get another year to see if he improves and if Haley improves at getting him the ball in space.Steelers 27

I'll say this - he did become a solid starter in Buffalo - you'd think he at a minimum could have been a capable backup.
For all my stirring, I don't see Dri being cut. But, I 'splained why in the other thread.2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment

* In the immediate aftermath of the Steelers bringing back James Harrison, there were questions about whether this move was going to create an either-or situation at right outside linebacker. As in James Harrison or Jarvis Jones.
* I don’t see it that way. I believe the Steelers realize they need a statistically significant contribution from Jarvis Jones in 2015, and that cannot happen with him splitting time with James Harrison.
* I also understand that Jarvis Jones is going to show he deserves more than to split time with James Harrison.
* If Jones doesn’t show that early and often, it’s going to be a long season.

Harrison is insurance if the draft doesn't fall the way the Steelers hope, JJ, other players, injury, ect. Harrison showed that he can play well in stretches. Harrison might best be used to play in sub packages at this point of his career and to provide veteran leadership.
JJ showed flashes that he can be a good player. The key is for him is to remain healthy so the organization can determine what they have in him from a consistency stand point.Comment

"Show me (us)" season for Jones. Hopefully we see more performance than we hear excuses. Unfortunately too much of the latter for the past two years."My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"Comment
