Its impressive in the though that he should be abusing DII tackles. Then maybe he has a chance to make it as a pro with some pro practice and coaching. Same as guys from elite schools who were good but not great. Lets be truthful here. Many 3-4 OLB's take time to blossom in the NFL. Not many are a force from the get go. Heck that can go for any position.

because he's not showing us anything. It's like watching High School football practice. When the seniors go against the JV in practice, they should win every battle. I'm not saying he's not a talent. Like I said, I haven't watched him. But he was beating guys that will never play even D1 ball let alone NFL.

exactly, There have been plenty of great players come out of small schools. He sounds like a project, and I'm perfectly ok with that. I don't necessarily see it as a strength or a weakness. Plenty of guys take a year or two into college to fill out. Maybe that's why he wasn't recruited to a D1-A school. We could end up with the next James Harrison for all I know

Steelers bring in Harold, Orchard for pre-draft visits

The Steelers hosted four potential draft choices at their South Side facility, three of whom play positions the team is looking to upgrade in the draft.
Virginia outside linebacker Eli Harold, Utah outside linebacker Nate Orchard and Mississippi cornerback Senquez Golson — along with Auburn tight end C.J. Uzomah — became the first pre-draft visits for the Steelers on Wednesday.
The Steelers have publicly stated that they are looking to upgrade both the outside linebacker and cornerback positions in the draft.
Recently, pre-draft visits have been an indication of who the Steelers are targeting in the draft. The Steelers have used 11 of their 18 draft choices the past two years on players who had pre-draft visits, including first-round picks Jarvis Jones and Ryan Shazier.
Harold could be the next one.
A junior projected as a late first-round pick, Harold (6-3, 247) played defensive end in college, but would be moved to outside rush linebacker in the Steelers' 3-4 scheme. He had 8.5 sacks as a sophomore and 7 as a junior.
Another converted outside linebacker from defensive end, Orchard (6.3, 250) had 18.5 sacks for Utah last year as a senior. A three-year starter in college, Orchard played in 50 games and finished with 25 sacks.
The Steelers outside linebacker pool consists of Arthur Moats, James Harrison and Jones. Jason Worilds, who led the team in sacks the past two years, unexpectedly retired last month.
Projected as a mid-round pick, Golson (5-9, 176) was Mississippi's first consensus and unanimous All-American since 2008 as he led the SEC with 10 interceptions.
Seen as a late-round pick, Uzomah (6-5, 264) finished his career with 29 catches, including seven that went for touchdowns. Uzomah never had more than three receptions in a game during his collegiate career.
The Steelers are permitted 30 official visits leading up to the NFL Draft set for April 30. The Steelers have the 22nd pick in the first round.

The Jaguars made Dante Fowler their choice with the third overall pick of the draft with the hope that he’d be an immediate upgrade to the edge of their defense.
Right now, though, they’re holding their breath. Fowler had to be helped off the field at Jaguars minicamp after being hurt during an 11-on-11 drill.
Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports that Fowler was holding his left knee after falling awkwardly while going up against former Georgia tackle Watts Dantzler, who is trying out for the team during the camp.
Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports that Fowler was walking “gingerly” with two trainers and that a cart came to the field to take Fowler away from the trainers table.

Dante Fowler out for season with torn ACL
The third overall pick in this year’s NFL draft will miss his entire rookie season with an injury suffered at his first day of practice.
Jaguars pass rusher Dante Fowler is out for the season with a torn ACL, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Fowler, a talented edge rusher from Florida, was expected to make an instant impact on Jacksonville’s defense. Instead, at the first practice of today’s rookie minicamp he went down awkwardly, immediately grabbed his knee, and had to be helped off the field. It looked bad, and now it’s been confirmed that it was every bit as bad as it looked.
Just a week ago, Fowler was arriving in Jacksonville as a player who was supposed to make a big splash as a rookie.
