Imagine if he is the second OLB prospect that we are able to take later in the draft after getting someone like OO or Harold or Orchard or Mauldin, etc. earlier on. Emmanuel with our comp pick that was moved up from the 7th round to the 6th round would be awesome. Glad to see the team showing interest.

Isn't Kyle Emmanuel being projected as an ILB and core special teams player at the NFL level? I thought that was Mayock's description of him but I may have him confused with somebody else.Comment

Interesting prospect, but a lot of his pressure seemed to come from the wide nine, which is also the case for our CFL import Shawn Lemon. I wouldnt consider it a weakness. Just tough to evaluate from a transition standpoint.
I saw one ND St game, he was clearly a standout on the defense. From a transitional standpoint its like when Danny Woodhead or Joique Bell led the nation in rushing and won the Harlon Hill trophy....its not a weakness dominating at a D2 level, its just not a very good evaluator of their potential as a pro.
Emanual is relentless though, even if he starts out as a STer he just seems like a guy that will find his way onto the fieldComment

I went to a small D2 school in PA (Edinboro) and knew a bunch of guys that played ball there (my roommate was a Fullback). I then moved to Gainesville and knew a bunch of guys who played there. I can guarantee you that a guy that could abuse D2 guys at Edinboro (regardless of how bad we were.. go Scotts!), would not have been able to abuse my buddy Mo. I haven't seen Eman so I won't judge. But there's a big difference when you can manhandle the guys against you because they're not very talented (average at best).
