Who would you take in round 2? round 3?
According to the NFL.com best players remaining, 24 spots down the list are guys rated an 84. Here's the list of guys rated at 84:
Jayron Hosley, CB, VA Tech
Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina
Chris Polk, RB, Washington
Kendall Reyes, DE, CT
Billy Winn, DT, Boise State
Going 32 players ahead from there, we'd be at guys rated a 77:
Omar Bolden, CB, AZ State
Alameda Ta'Amu, NT, Washington
Nick Toon, WR, Wisconsin
If those were my choices, I'd take Jeffrey and Ta'Amu. I think Ta'Amu could be a nice fit. But I would worry Jeffery could be a Limas Sweed again.
Looking at the NFL.com rankings, what I'd rather see us do is go up in the second to get Stephen Hill, WR, GA Tech, and down in the 3rd and grab Josh Chapman, NT. If we somehow added those 2 with Decastro, I think we'd have the best draft in the Tomlin era in a few short years.
Although Hill could also be another Limas Sweed. Maybe we could trade up for Fleenor?
