Re: Ben's Fault
There's no one place to point blame, it’s the whole team this year. Our D looks slow and always out of place, yes Troy is getting better but as has already been said on this forum, where is Harris, Woodly, and company? Our O-Line can't seem to open a hole for our running game, and when they do Mendenhall just dances around in the back field (probably why Redman has some success), neither can they give Ben more than a second before he's being swarmed by several pass rushers. Also as already stated Ben has to take better care of the football, I understand he's getting hit allot and he tries to extend the play. That’s what makes him great, but for some reason he's being sloppy with the ball causing allot of fumbles when he gets hit, this has to stop. When discussing interceptions this blame needs to be distributed across the wide receivers as well as the QB. On more than one occasion it looks like Ben throws to a point where the receiver is supposed to be only to find he's not there and a defender is. Maybe this is a result of a shorter off season, bad coaching or something else, I don't know but it's in no way as simple as saying, it's the "D" or the O-Line, or even the QB.
